Tronsmart Onyx Neo APTX Bluetooth Earphone TWS Wireless Earbuds with Qualcomm Chip, Volume Control, 24H Playtime

I have the unfortunately named Tronsmart Spunky beat earphones and have been massively impressed by them. These have the added bonus of being able to change the volume on earphones themselves.

For those that don't know, aptx is a better quality Bluetooth codec that is usually found on expensive headphones.

There's a review of the excellent Haylou gt2 earphones here which also has a comparison with the Tronsmarts spunky beats, I'd imagine these will sound the same as the beats

Voted hot, I think these and the Mpow T5 are the best budget earbuds available now. I probably prefer these for portability and the cable attached for charging. Very good price, I may get again something I don't need

I'm very impressed with the tronsmart, don't think these have the cable attached as far as I'm aware though, they do have volume adjustments which I'd prefer to be honest. I've been using ultimate ears wired headphones for years, really thought I'd notice a dip in sound quality but can honestly say I haven't.

Had some cheaper tws Bluetooth earphones previously (nakosite I think) but they were awful in comparison

Are these a different model than the previous Tronsmart posted here? I cannot see in the pics any cable attached at these ones, I've assumed were the same ones but may be wrong.
If this is a different model, do you know what's the difference in between the models, thanks.
I have a pair of Enacfire and I am happy with them. Paid £35 a year ago, when there were not do many options, so there are probably outdated. I keep them as the 'good ones' as I've paid £6 for non branded ones, deal posted on HUKD. TBH I am happy with the cheap ones, but may be because I've paid so little for them.
Yes, slightly different model to the spunky beats. Same spec except these have volume adjustment and no built in charge cable. Think these don't have that slightly annoying blinking light on them when wearing too.
If I didn't have 2 pairs of the beats I'd go for these. Also the name is far less cringy too 😄.

Thank you! The addition of volume control is great, also getting rid of the lights is a good think. I did like the idea to have the cable attached, but I guess a 3rd model will come with all these features .

Thank you! Very helpful. I think the cable attached was a good feature, but can't have everything for peanuts . I do prefer these features in comparison with the other model.

On honey?

Is that a different code to the generic $3 new user code in AliExpress site?

Edit*

Guess it must be as it's $2 not $3

How these compare to their "spunky" ones?

How these compare to their "spunky" ones?

There are different "spunky ones" but the spunky beats are pretty much the same spec. The spunky pro and buds are lower spec.

Spunky pro is worse than the spunky beats?

But yeah it was the beats ones I was thinking of. Nothing to choose between them and these then?

I want to get some but have seen good feedback about the QCY QS2s, Spunky Beats and some Bluedio ones. Kinda torn as they're all around the same price
Edited by: "AndersJ" 13th Dec 2019
Haven't tried the pro's but they are lower spec and I don't think they support aptx.
Check out the link I posted in my first comment in the thread. Good comparison between a few of the ones you're looking at.

There is a slight mistake by the reviewer of these in that link though...he says the spunky beats have a 10m range when it's much better at 15m

Cheers mate
Did some research on the budget earbuds, hope it helps some. I've looked at QCY, Xiaomi, Haylou, etc. I didn't take in consideration Anker/Soundcore as are more expensive.

Narrowed down to Mpow T5 and Tronsmart Spunky Beat, but the newer version with volume control and no flashing light, £18.18 on Ali Express.

IMO the best ones are Tronsmart. Yes, Mpow are IPX7, can be used in heavy rain, while the Tronsmart are IPX5, sweat and rain proof. Yes, the charging case battery is bigger on the Mpow (6 vs 3 charges). Mpow has a bigger soundstage and more precise instrument placement.

The advantages of the Tronsmart are:
- better battery, at least 1h more on one charge
- better portability - the case is smaller
- better comfort - narrower shape and smaller
- usb c cable integrated
- base has more details and vocals more prominent
- better audio-video synchronisation and better call quality
- half the price.

Have a read of this review scarbir.com/tws…iew I have had the spunky beats for a couple of months now and have replaced my beloved QCY T2C as my daily drivers also the ones being sold now have had a update and now support volume up/down control and they no longer flash when in use. If I had to be negative about them it would be the touch control I personally prefer the physical button as a control but I am getting used to it
