Nice USB & USB C Fast charger for a tad under a fiver. The code for this is XZUJBRRR, log in and add that at checkout. You can select Registered airmail for free.

I think it's decent for a 33w model, for those that don't want to spend the extra on having more ports.

A Chinese charger from a terribly reviewed Chinese seller . Make sure your home insurance is up to date before plugging in (if and when it arrives )

When even editors post terrible 'deals' like this you know something is up …When even editors post terrible 'deals' like this you know something is up with HUKD these days. Been such a flood of rubbish Chinese products on this site as of late

HUKD is now a massive money generator and will post any old tat as long as they get a referral fee. Alliexpress, Geekbuying, TomTop etc etc. HUKD allows the posting of items that if plugged into your power supply could be a serious risk to life.
Once again people, Type C chargers are a different beast from previous chargers, they can overcharge your device if they aren't designed/wired properly, this will cause your phones to overheat or explode, a quick google will show you I'm not fearmongering. Here's a Google Engineers thoughts on it:

If it's not a fake then these are very well designed and made... I've had one for a few years without any problems!

I stick to Anker chargers, they are normally excellent
My first and last experience with Geekbuying is just terrible. Avoid
(Just let you know still using sites like BG, Alliexpress and Gearbest )

Do you have any sources for the bad review of the seller to back up that comment? Just noticed a decent review here: resellerratings.com/sto…ing

I posted a Deal recently, for a retailer I had shared in the past (albeit about 3 years ago) - it wasn't allowed.

I've used Geekbuying several times without any problems. Only ever ordered Android TV sticks and phones. Never had any trouble at all.

I've had a few issues with Gearbest and recently with Zapals. Zapals sent me defective, fake junk, advertised as a pair of OEM Samsung headphones.

I posted a deal on some Asolo walking boots on Asolo's own website, got taken down, the reason given was it was foreign!! A well regarded European manufacturer, its anyone guess what's going on!? Isn't Amazon a European website!?

If you go to the Google engineer's link on the dismantling and analysis of this charger above, you will disagree. That guy appears to be a guru on everything UBS-C at Google, I think we can trust him.

As someone has pointed out, incorrect implementation of USB-C specs CAN set fire to the device, and your house. Why take a chance for a few quid?

I was a fan of both Lumsing and Tronsmart, having bought their chargers and other tat in the past, but after reading in-depth reviews of how flaky their construction can be (this may not impact all units), I decided to stick with Anker and chargers from reputable manufacturers such as Samsung and Apple, which have been torn down and tested extensively all over YouTube and other sites.

Chinese manufacturing is all about keeping costs low for increased margins.

This kind of risk is just not worth it.

Type C to Type C is usually fine.
It's type A to Type C that cause problems.

It's also not so much overcharging but it's drawing more power than the type A can provide and blowing the port.

They had a deal last time and even though on the site the promotion was still live (and it still is), they sent me a message it isn't in production anymore so choose something else or get a refund. But we could sort out something at the and, hopefully they will honour. GL to the others.

Is the solution, as a buyer, to ensure the charger or cable has a 56k ohm resistor or is there more to it?

Need to buy a new USB-C cable and want to ensure it's a decent one.

I think Chinese customer service is pot luck to be honest. Hope you get your problem sorted out.

    Fair enough
Would these be any good for a hp touchpad does anybody reckon? Needs 5.3v and 2amp I think. Prob not but just in case somebody knows, struggling to find a proper one, want to charge it without the warning screen.

Agreed. An offer I wanted to share from amazon was rejected as I didn't give the exact source of the voucher although it worked; yet this post is no problem at all
