Luke mugging etc. :whistling:

Seriously this is why kids carry knives.

how many people actually need to carry one?.

no vote from me.

Handy for cutting up fishing bait at the side of a Loch

H&R added.

Laser guided for those who require the utmost accuracy in knife crime :s ... other than that good price

Anyone have any idea what the law is regarding carrying something like this about on the off chance that you might need to use?

If a kid wants to get his hands on a knife he will, look at all the knifes in you own kitchen, i rather doubt hes going to be seen as cool carrying a keyring knife with a little light on it, i had one of these when i went backpacking through Thailand and it was one of those things that was so handy to have, still have it on my keyring now and it comes in handy all the time:thumbsup:

Its a bit like voting a hammer cold incase some nutcase uses it, 99% of the population are responsible, its the 1% that are idiots and most of us (luckily) dont come into contact with them,

lol

It is legal to carry a folding pen knife as long as the blade is LESS than 3 inches - so as this blade is only 3.7cm it will be legal .

However, if a knife is used in a threatening way (even a legal knife, such as a Swiss Army knife), it is regarded as an 'offensive weapon' by the law.

Good price but 3.5Cms is only about the size of a stanley blade.

I didn't vote it cold as I did not vote at all and the comment was not being made at you.

The law is you Can't carry a lock knife of any length in public so don't. If it is not lockable it needs to be no longer blade than 3 1/4 inch

Just so you know where the law is at.........By the way I havent voted hot or cold

It is illegal to carry any sharp or bladed instrument in a public place (with the exception of a folding pocket knife, which has a blade that is less than 7.62 cm (3 inches)).

A lock knife is not a folding pocket knife and therefore it is illegal to carry around such a knife regardless of the length of the blade. A lock knife means a knife which is similar to a folding knife, in that there is a spring holding the blade closed. However, a lock knife has a mechanism which locks the blade in position when fully extended, the blade cannot be closed without that mechanism being released. A lock knife is not an offensive weapon per se (because these knives were made with a specific purpose in mind and not as a weapon). However, possession of a lock knife in a public place without reasonable excuse is an offence. :whistling:

Quite simply DO NOT CARRY....

Good deal on a hobby knife.
Was obvious that this would attract the "Daily Mail crowd" that blames everything but the kids for their crimes, video games, movies, weapons they use etc. Never that they already messed up or anything must be society for all the endless possibility's in life.

I tend to take hunting knives out with me when I go camping. Is that illegal now as well?
