Purchased one of these at full price a few months ago and after seeing how well it works even at the dark time of the year thought of getting a few more for the back garden.
Since it is motion activated the battery charge seems to last for days. Super easy to install as well.

These are pretty good with the amount of light they produce once charged. However, they only turn on if motion is detected. If you want ones that are always on at 50 percent light, and then turn on full once motion is detected, B&Q sell similar ones. I wanted some for the back garden as its pitch black, and the B&Q ones did what i wanted.

I didn’t even know those sort of lights existed with 50% light plus motion sensor so I’ll check B&Q for one for my back garden, too! Thanks Parv1
Any suggestions for solar powered light's that you could potentially put on a timer or leave on? They don't need to be bright as they're not for security but decoration. Not sure if that's possible!

I just want a couple for my parents place to put out the front of the house. It would be a PITA to wire some in, hence why I'm looking for solar.

thesolarcentre.co.uk/pro…tml currently £14.99 with the same code. These however are less bright as they remain permanently on when it is dark.

Thanks for that! So it is an option - great to know! Next job, see if there are any that have both an up lighter and down lighter - now I'm pushing my luck!
And here's a little tip for you..........................as with all solar wall lights, run a thin line of clear bathroom (waterproof) sealant along the solar panel's edges to stop rain water ingress, this will make the product last longer and the internal wiring and batteries won't corrode.
