I didn’t even read the description lol, I just ordered it. If it’s good enough for his YouTube channel it’s more then good enough for me.

Agreed, daughter wants one for singing and trumpet sampling... Let's see.

Trumpet sampling? Oops pardon me
how would you use this on a PS4?

would you be linking it to a capture card?

would this work on xbox one too?

I’ve been told that you just plug it into one of the USB ports and just adjust the audio settings on the PS4.

I use wireless headphones connected to my tv as does my guy.

I don’t know what a capture card is.

I don’t see why this wouldn’t work on a Xbox.

Always thought the accepted word was engrish.
I'm looking to do some promotional videos for a small start up company. Would this be suitable to use for voiceover? Or is there something better that anybody could recommend?

This will be OK but you want to look at noise absorption so you dont get an echo (or pretty much hide under a duvet), if your willing to spend more, things like the Blue Yeti / Snowball mic appear in deals often but generally more expensive

I’ve watched the video and it looks good.

The video capture card allows you to record your game play, voice and webcam to a pc so that you can edit afterwards.

Do you just stream Live direct from your console?
I am currently in the process of return for this microphone. The Audio seemed fine but the mount for the pop filter was unusable. Could have just been a defective unit but I'm just going to look elsewhere.

Thanks for the info.

That’s not me, that’s someone I know who recommended the mic to me. I just got it so we can chat when we play.

He said the mic was just plug and play for him

Disclaimer! I’m in no way an expert, I just spent some time looking for a USB mike for a similar purpose and this is what I found.

I’m assuming you want a cheapish USB condenser microphone. I’m also assuming you don’t want a lavalier or headset
(if you are not familiar with the terms, could you please look on google? I should be meeting a deadline ATM instead of doing this -- Sorry)
Decide if you want a cardiod or omnidirectional pickup pattern. If you can’t decide, look at a Blue Yeti, a Blue Yeti Nano, or a Samson Go, which have selectable patterns.
In general, it seems to me that Samson, Blue, Rode, Shure are well-reputed brands.
People seemed to enthuse about Fifine

I have used a Yeti Nano and a Samson Go. I liked the Nano better but the Samson Go cost 40 quid less.

Look on amazon at the Neewer NW-800 and its variants, very good quality for what you pay (see the reviews).
Trust is an awful brand because of the cheap quality. Stay away, would be my advice.

I can't recommend anything Blue that uses the mini USB connector. I went through something like 3 blue yetis, all mounted on an arm and each one died to a loose mini USB connector slightly outside of warranty. This time around I've gone with an audio technica AT2005 for a bunch of reasons but mainly the sturdy XLR connector to use as backup when the mini USB port eventually fails.

Virtually everything is made in China these days from iPhones to top end racing bikes, you can't expect any of these products to be made anywhere else. The downside is how badly the people of China are exploited for their labour, but that's a different issue

I know this, but saying "USB connection offers clear digital sound quality" over and over is almost meaningless?

Quality is ok, once hes making money from YouTube I recommend the Blue Snowball or Yeti both sound brilliant.
Dropped him a comment and wished him luck with the channel, it's really hard when you first start out, I remember being the happiest person ever when I hit 50 subs next milestone is 20k

For the money it's probably worth a punt, but as it's from Amazon you can give it a whirl and see how it performs and decide from there. I don't suppose I'd expect too much for the money.

Not as much of an issue as you'd think, Trust do sell some good stuff but I don't think they specialise in any particular area nowadays. At this price its probably ok for some.

On a side note, i bought a Trust UPS many many years ago and its still working, £80 15 years ago was a lot of money but half the price of most UPS.

I purchased one of these a while back and it picks up sound from everywhere. Also the pop filter is in a poor place as this video explains: youtube.com/wat…6jU

If you don't have a microphone at all, it could do a job but I recommend something better.

Most microphones would be OK, but only if you focus on improving the sound isolation of the recording area and also improving the acoustics of the room by minimising how much sound is reflected around the recording space (think soft, thick moving blankets, even pillows behind the mic, etc).

Watch the following video to give you an idea of what I mean.

No worries, more than welcome. Just be sure to focus on the recording area first and THEN worry about what mic is best for the task at hand.
