Small surface but good reviews and very cheap. See if you really want/need an expensive one!

Win7, Vista, XP all ok (see trust.com/pro…spx?artnr=15356).

+ nectar points.

Hot deal, well recommended, think seriously about this if your kid is doing any kind of design course at college or uni.

Nearest equivalent Wacom is around £80 I believe.

Good find OP, and ordered.

nice

There may be an issue with these tablets and CS3 onwards according to an Amazon review. Anyone comment on this?

Can you use this for web browsing?

I am doing a design course, and I can guarantee that any design course that is remotely challenging will require better equipment than this. I went for the Wacom Volito at first, but now feel that even this is not enough. You really will need an Intuos or at least a Bamboo in order to get some work done without frustration.
The Volito (and I can imagine this) has some slight lag when having to recognize that the pen actually touches the surface, and therefore making some quick sketches is a pain, because you do not get an immediate response. Other than that, even though it claims to have 512 pressure levels, I really only manage to get about 10 (which of course is still 10 times better than having to use a mouse, but not perfect). My Intuos2 (which is an old and usually cheap model, but still very well built) doesn't have any of these issues, and I can imagine the later models being even better.

unfortunately does not work on Macs. Still hot for the find!

I have the larger version (6300), and Windows 7 64bit using CS4 all working fine (no lag).

They are useless. Buy a wacom. They cost much more, but work flawlessly. Mine is 3 years old and still going strong.

Looks like the £16.07 price is from a Marketplace seller so need to add £4.99 p&p.

Showing as £21.46 for me. How did you get it at this price, or has it risen?

EXPIRE - Amazon upto usual tricks again, enough orders so price is bumped back up on hope more still order

Am I right that these drawing tablets are just a mouse in another form whose movements are mapped to the points on the tablet?

I've never owned this but presumably, you can use this to control other programs, not just draw in paint, illustrator and other design programs.

Kind of, yes. They're "just a mouse", but a mouse that can detect different pressure levels. the pen normally has left/right mouse buttons on it so you can use it like a mouse, clicking about the screen in any application by using the buttons and making contact with the tablet.

Awww, shame. I wish Amazon would stop doing this.

If you're serious about tablets you need a wacom, head and shoulders above anything like this

And a IPS monitor... and an Nvidia graphics card... and 8 gigs of ram...

Do you really think someone who just wants to try out a tablet is going to spend 2 to 3 times the price to find they hardly use it?
