For that you first have to buy a bag of chips nowadays. So, no. This is the hotter deal, no coupon, no extra costs for a bag of fat.

walkers crisps

why would anyone actually spend 7 quid on a crap game just to get gamerpoints.....i would rather pay for a decent game than look good on xbox live with a shed load of gamer points that actually mean puff mcall

Be prepared to set your gamercard to private if you fill your gamerscore up with stuff like this.
Gamerscore does not equal better gamer.

Does anyone care about gamerscore?

Unfortunately yes, some people have got hundreds of thousands. Doesn't bother me as said it proves nothing other than someone's gone out of their way to buy My Little Pony and whatever else has 'easy gs'

Personally I've got about 5000, i've rarely completed any games let alone aimed for 100%.

Only one I've almost done was Trials HD, one away from getting all the achievements on that.

now £6.75 at zavvi and the hut plus quidco

very sad to buy a game just to points on your gamerscore

£9.85 not £6.85! COLD!!!!!!

I don't get it. People who spend a long time on game consoles are usually satirised as 30+ year old unemployed virgins who still live with his parents.

How would having a high gamer score make you look good? Unless you wanted to impress another 30+ year old unemployed virgin perhaps?

If gamerscore is a reason to buy games... you.should get out more!

Sorry but this is getting cold just for the title. Trying to get more gamerscore is just sad, doing it on games you already own is fine, I have tried to get points from games before but I have never and shall never buy a game just for the points!

Hot from me, I have a friend who's determined to beat my gamerscore and anything goes. Just a bit of healthy competition

I take it some of you have habits or OCD well getting achievements for some people is a habit and to get all the achievements in the game is a bit OCD for some people.

i am a trophy and achievement **** i admit it. i dont have any of my friends or family on my xbox friends list as none of them have one. for me its all about just setting myself a target and try and get to it in a certain time frame. this game is an easy completion and 1000gs so i would def buy it once its a fiver. after all i have Hannah Montana and My Horse and Me 2 completed, and to me that takes some balls to admit.

ive gone away from GS now though, as my brothers have PS3 so to me its a sibling rivalry. dont care about anyone elses trophies, just got to be ahead of the brothers lol. it shouldnt be the main element of playing games, but trust me once you start there is no stopping.

Anyone who buys games just to get gamerpoints really needs to re-evaluate their existence.

you dont understand the function of hukd then

vote hot - if its the cheapest price available (which it was when the deal was posted)
vote cold- if you find cheaper (in which case you should advice where)

So your defence is redirection huh? Speaks volumes!

You've also not even made a valid point as they are actually very different, but lets not waste time getting into that now - you've got points to earn!

PS - Don't take it personally. It's the whole concept that makes me laugh.

just making the point that anything can be viewed as pointless from a certain perspective.

just as a non gamer would say the whole gaming world is pointless and has no purpose in life

the gamerscore conept is an evolution of the old high score tables, and people like to compete with each other, no difference (except I will take the point that *some* gamescoring has no reflection upon skill)

High score tables rate performance based on a fixed challenge. Gamerscore is very different in that it can be falsely inflated, and has no level playing field - hence it is completely pointless.

Theoretically, someone with a gamerscore of 2,000,000 could be repeatedly beaten head to head by someone with just 1,000 points, with the score difference simply representing the amount of spare time ploughed into gaming.

I did make that point in my last reply.

All I will say, is the same catalogue of games is available to all gamers, and there are many gamers who take up challenges based on gamerscore.

Not sure why this deal has got comments on it again anyway, the deal was posted 10 days ago and the price has changed since, and since it's gone way off topic.

My last words are that the deal was posted a) to highlight the lowest price (which it was at the time) and b) to highlight it to those who buy games with gamerscore in mind and would be interested at the price point (easy to buy, get the 1000 G and then resell).

"the same catalogue of games is available to all gamers"..........lol. You just don't get it.

I assume you're about 14, so probably have few real life things to concentrate on, which is fair enough - i'd happily go back to those days.

But for an adult to waste money and precious time buying and playing cack games just to get a higher gamerscore, there gotta be something very lacking in that persons life.

I like having gamerscore and I would get a game just for gamerscore but this kind of crosses the line I'm afraid. xD

+ I agree with SCornelius7mufc.

Some people care about gamerscore, others don't...I personally like having a game with 100% achievements unlocked regardless of the game, nobody looks at my gamertag so I don't really care much for showing off my gamerscore, I just like to have achievements unlocked, plus it gives me a reason to play a game through more than once. It's fun getting achievements!

I don't have issue with that at all - I have an xbox and also try to gain achievements on some games that ive really enjoyed.

It's specifically buying any old rubbish and wasting ones life away, all for the sake of meaningless points, that I find ridiculous!

Agree with Boris totally. Although I'm sure if you wanted 1000 GS easily there would be even cheaper games then this to buy? I recall playing King Kong when I first got my Xbox and that was an easy 1000, looking on ebay, game's websites there will be older cheaper games that will still have the same result, so not sure about the whole purpose of this deal in all honesty.
