TSB credit card £30 cashback to the card and 20 months interest free on purchases

TSB are releasing a new deal today offering £30 cashback to new credit card and loan customers. Only available in a branch which is annoying but £30 free money on what seems a decent credit card seems good to me. The interest free quoted is for their platinum card which looks the best to me.

Not on their website yet but there should be posters up in their branches form today. Runs until 1 March. Only criteria is that £30 in eligible purchases be spent on the card - that definition is any goods or services you make from shops and online retailers.

Assuming they dont lose/leak your details all over the internet, have their entire IT system crash and burn for weeks on end; or repeatedly send the paperwork to the wrong address, accidentally destroy it, or put it down somewhere and cannot remember where.

All of the above have happened in the last 2 years, so sign up at your own risk.

Good find.
Pity you can't apply on line, ain't got the time or inclination to find a proper bank.
Hmmm I already have a tsb credit card. Could I get this as a replacement?

I wonder same thing, but wouldn't be overly optimistic...

Maybe that’s why it’s in branch only

They managed to do most of what I described to my wife IN THE BRANCH.

After the 3rd loss of data, whilst just trying to OPEN an account, we walked; Barclays isnt as convenient for us, but so far they havent posted any paperwork to the wrong people.
Interesting I need to get a new credit card and I assume TSB customers are eligable

Maybe you have been really lucky and have competent branch staff, we dont - seriously.

First set of paperwork sent to wrong office and lost.
2nd set of paperwork "accidentally destroyed".
3rd set of paperwork found in branch over a month after it was supposed to have been sent off.

After that they told us we needed to fill in a 4th set, as the 3rd was now out of date..............

Went to Barclays, which meant a 10 mile drive each way, as the local branch can no longer process new customers; paperwork took an hour to process and we left with the account opened.

Sorry to hear that...I do know that some of the staff are just incompetent..I don't know how they get hired by a bank:)))
Hmm, used to have their credit card but I closed it last month. I wonder if it would work...
I had issues with TSB, minor in the scale of things (website and app banking, cheque book with wrong sort code) but documented them and submitted complaint. They took their time but I've just received profuse apologies and more importantly £600 compensation😋

If someone has previously had a TSB card, is there a time limit before they are considered a 'new customer'?

Depends how long ago, they moved systems and likelihood is they have no record of you if more than 12 months ago
Ok so I’ve spent £30, how long til I get it back? Does it come to my tsb current account or as a payment towards the credit card
