TU REAL Suede Boots - Sainbury's Instore - £10.35

55
Found 2nd Nov 2011
Probably will be voted cold, but quite a significant saving.

Just nipped into Sainsbury's store in Dunstable and they had REAL suede 'ugg type' boots. They're very thick and seem quite comfortable (they have a plastic sole rather than those cheap foam ones).

Was originally £25, but the deal was 1/3 of boots (£8.40) and 25% off all clothing and shoes (£6.25).

May depend on your store, i know this was the 'Managers Special' in this specific store.

Available in sizes 4 - 8 in Chestnut, Dark Brown and Black

I have provided photo's below.

I noticed this, i tried them on and i don't think i will walk over on them like the cheap boots. They seem very sturdy.
ooh i got these other day still have reciept and wanted the choc brown too will have to pop down tomo!!
thanks x
Presumably only ladies sizes available?

Could do with some warm boots while i freeze my cahooners off in the cold indoors this winter.
Cheers OP
Fab boots bought them in black!
Only went up to size 8? But I suppose men with size 8 or smaller feet could wear them if they wish?

There are no such men!!
Thanks op popped into Alperton branch at 10-45pm and got a pair each for myself and daughter, thought they were cheap last week at 25 so terrific find :-)
Excellent deal, but nowhere near overpriced enough to appeal to my daughter.:(

That's truly sickening, thanks for posting this...I would have considered getting some of these 'cheaper' Uggs for my girlfriend (...not genuine ones obviously, I'm not made of money or an idiot!), but now I wouldn't touch them!!!

...the Chinese really are a weird lot, sorry, but they really are!!!
i saw it a few weeks ago and couldn't read it all made me feel ill! It's very disturbing that anyone could do this, i'm sure there are cheaper versions that are traceable and ethically produced but there is no way of knowing, and i for one would have that image in my head everytime i put them on!

Good god!

If I read/click this, I genuinely won't be able to sleep for weeks judging by the article title in the URL - does it really apply to most cheap real suede boots? Can someone give me a not-too-graphic summary of the article please? The lack of humanity in humans makes me sick

Is it 1/3 of all shoes/boots?
The pictures are really horrific. Im going to steer clear of these boots unless I can verify where they've been made.
just to clarify, i'm not saying that this applies to sainsbury's boots, the suggestion is that cheap ones generally may come from an unsavoury source, you really do get what you pay for in most cases! i'm not sure it's easy to tell how its sourced which is unfortunate! So i'll be steering clear i think!
...they take their skins off while they are still alive...it shouldn't be sugar coated so I won't!

...if this horrifies you then I suggest you avoid this type of product this Chrimbo, unless you can afford the genuine article, as there's no real way of knowing which boots come from which source?!
Here's another LINK that shows even apparently genuine 'UGG' boots may contain this poor animal's skin! Some manufacturers are cutting off the 'made in China' label and putting a 'made in Australia' one on instead...absolutely bloody disgraceful!

...time to boycott Chinese manufactured products methinks!

Only problem with that idea is that 99.9% of everything is made in China these days.

PS. I think your S&M avatar may be at odds with your caring, sharing message!X)

...yeah, you're probably right. I shall at least try and avoid Chinese things (...except the food, but I know where that comes from, just down the road ...or does it? oO )

...that's Keeley Hawes...I'd show her my caring, sharing side!!!

...didn't read the article then? ...or just don't care?
Thanks OP the wife has just set aside 6 pairs for my girls, and gone to pick them up, great deal.
In Bamber Bridge they seemed to have quite a few different sizes in each of the three colours - the lady on customer services looked a bit shocked when I asked her to price check them.

Oh and I do care but there is nothing to say that these boots were made in that way. They are a bargain, I have cold feet and am skint.
heat added..good price..
Thanks just got some for me and my daughter they were marked up as £25 but went through as £10.35..

I do avoid this sort of thing The problem is I worry about this sort of thing TOO much...I do what I can as a consumer/constituent, but laying awake at night thinking about the horror of it all is unhelpful to me, and not helpful to any animals. Its my problem, yes, but I just wanted to know a summary of the article - I could see from the title that they skin animals alive, I just didn't want to read graphic descriptions or see graphic images. I just wanted to know what I can do to avoid contributing to it oO Is that so awful?

But anyway, suede/"sheep" skin is off the list for other people's presents from now on.
Thanks just got the last size 6 in my store :-)
Anyone know if its 1/3 off all boots? Please.
