Tube Status with Push Notifications FREE for iPhone - iTunes

Get up to the minute service level details for the London Underground without having to load an application to do it.

When you do load the application you are greeted with information that takes only seconds to load, even over GPRS.

You can then select which Tube Lines you wish to receive status notifications for. You can then leave the application, safe in the knowledge that you will get a Push Notification every time the status of your selected lines changes.

Rather than checking on the status of the lines that effect your journey, let Tube Notify let you know.

It should work. Developer does say that it's not designed for iPod Touch, but thats I think because iPod Touch doesn't have cellular connection. If I remember correctly iPod either checks for Push Messages every 15 minutes on Wi-Fi or when you turn it on.

So if you are connected to Wi-Fi, this app will work, it just wont display status of tube lines imminently, but with short delay.

Thanks for the info, will give it a try.

for 59p you might aswell get tube deluxe as it has a route planner and plans around line closures too.

I know this one is free but 59p is nothing for something you will use evryday living in london

Developers just released a new version of this App. It became ad supported and remain free forever.

So i guess this deal is expired, as it was for a paid app that was temporarily free.
