Just wondering, do you need a visa for Barbados? And what's safety like for a dark skinned speedster?
I could do with a holiday after this flaming deer hunt !

UK citizens don’t need a visa, not sure what you mean by a dark skinned speedster.

Safety wise it is a friendly place I’m more than content walking about and chatting to locals

For some of us we have to be sure where we go, as I've had some really bad experiences but I'm sure you can't relate....(hole)

Same as it is for a light skinned speedster possibly, I don't think the muggers discriminate in that part of the world assuming it's similar to Jamaica. Bit like most places I'd guess, don't wander down dark side streets after dark and don't flash your Rolex about, only an educated guess mind you.
I thought TUI was dead along with Thomas Cook?

Visitors with a UK passport do not need a visa. And with everywhere in the world you should be careful in new surroundings.
I’ve always fancied Newcastle
Just be careful to chose a location that avoids the seaweed

How does seaweed come into this? I thought seaweed was edible? So can't be dangerous. Or am I just thick as shoot?

Lots of beaches (particularly on the south coast) have big problems with seaweed. I was there in March and they had teams of people trying to rake it up and bury it, but in many cases it makes swiming almost impossible.
