Departing Manchester 18/1/15

Staying at the Hotel Marhaba Salem which has good trip advisor reviews

Key Features
By the beach
Pool with slides
Walk-to shops and bars
Free Wi-Fi in lobby
Large pool area
• Great for exploring
• Waterslides
This beachside hotel comes with two pools and a buffet restaurant that does a weekly Tunisian night.
With a sandy beach at the bottom of the gardens and shops and bars within walking distance, this place comes up trumps when it comes to location. Plus the centre of Sousse is just a ten-minute taxi ride away.

The hotel itself is low-set and whitewashed, and comes tucked in gardens dotted with eucalyptus and palm trees. Inside – especially in the reception - things look grander and have a traditional Tunisian twist.

The bedrooms have been refurbished, with a modern flavour. Beds dressed in bold-print bedspreads share space with tiled floors topped with rugs, and chunky modern furniture. Plus they all come kitted out with satellite TVs.

Outside, although there are tennis courts and minigolf, most of the action centres around the two swimming pools. They’re shared with the sister hotel and, as a result, they’re big enough to cater for quite a crowd. The first is a long rectangular set-up framed by sunbeds and parasols, while the second is a more elaborate affair. It’s got three waterslides, a little bridge across the middle and there’s a pool bar close by, too.

Lastly, there’s the matter of the dining scene. Everything is served buffet-style here, so you can pick and choose from Tunisian dishes and more well-known meals. And as a little something extra, the staff put on a candle-lit Tunisian buffet once a week.

Great deal.
I'm sure I could drink over £20's worth a day, so the rest is free.

Thanks. You should be the next SunshineStacey

Whitley bay surely?

Went here feb last year people confuse the sister hotel on the same site the royal. But we found this hotel to be a 4 not 3 star good food and good service the hotel will be quiet this time of the year and it is tucked away off the main strip with a private beach and security to keep the hasslers at bay. If you can deal with being pestered when you go out you'll be fine we just ignored the shouts and names check the fixed price shops near the hotel we found these cheaper than the markets even with haggling all in all good quality hotel for a price you can't argue about clean and fresh rooms small bar and I mean small not a sit in the bar all night kinda place

Nice 1 op Thanks for your time and effort

I'd like to say good work to the op. As a few of the usual trolls are trying to get involved I'm going to leave this threads to them. Nice work anyway mark.

By the way Mark, if you do a SunshineStacey on us, and switch to the Holiday Pirates dark side, I'll be taking back ALL of the comments I just made in your defence

Keep up the good work with the deals.

One thing to note - the holiday doesn't seem to include airport transfers....so you may want to amend the deal title...

She works for Holiday Pirates now x

payed around £300pp in July last year, nice place foods alright it's nothing special though everything else about the hotel is fine but how hot can it be at this time of year

Sunshine Stacey also has her own website now. I think she worked for Holiday Pirates for a good while now, but just posted their best deals?

These youtube vids give you an idea (an idealistic version maybe). I think the actual hotel is featured in one of these vids as you can see the water slides, but I suppose it aint the only one with slides. Like people have said, it is cheaper than staying at home so you cant expect to much.

I would be happy with the current 20 Degrees temps, a bit of snorkeling and pool/slide fun, watching a few fit birds dance about, unlimited Crepes, Pizza and vodka and coke.
