Found 24th Aug 2014
For those of you that use Netflix there are still 5000 spaces available to beta test their new service called Turboflix.
Turboflix will give you the content that the Americans and Canadians get. The beta will last for one month.

I'm sure a fair few of you use Netflix so hopefully this will help you out.

Mods - I wasn't sure if I should out this in free or misc so feel free to move it

hidden in the bottom corner. Wonder how netflix members get access if its nothing to do with netflix... hmm

Based on research it appears that all this does is pass your Netflix stream through a VPN, thus giving you access to international content.

You can already do this for free by using your own VPN so my advice is to avoid this service (Especially if it asks for your Netflix details). Simply not worth the risk since this could be a clever scam.

Cold from me.

This is the first I have heard of a VPN. Is it as simple as just downloading an app on my phone?
Thanks

Surely what they are doing isn't legal or anything, as if they don't have netflixs permission they won't have the copyright for the movies and tv shows, you may as well use something like hola which is free and you get the same result..

You just have to change the dns code on your device. Check YouTube for the latest codes and instructions.

Really not worth the effort though as codes expire very quickly and you find yourself having to mess about daily to keep the USA access. Better off not bothering to be honest.

Thank you for that. It sounds like more trouble than its worth. I don't think I'll bother.

Has anyone signed up to this.
is there any advantage compared to hola?

Just a question, if you have a Netflix UK account, do you automatically have access to Netflix USA (using VPN) or would another account be needed?

Also colding this due to potential security issues. oO

Your regular account should work, what a VPN does is simply make the site think you are from the USA (Or wherever) and displays content accordingly.

ZenMate and Hola are a few extensions you can try, both free.

They made it more complicated than it is, just get a vpn app get it to use a US server and it will work. Below is a one that offers a free month but there are plenty others out there, currently using f secure freedom not for this purpose but to encrypt data on public wifi.

If you use Chrome or iOS it is totally worth getting the browser add on and iOS app called Hola instead

This has to be a scam... It's just a vpn. Clever way to steal Netflix accounts though..

I use UNOTELLY to provide DNS codes, which gives me access to worldwide Netflix content, including USA which is at least double the size of the UK content. (Much of it is rubbish, but still…). It's really simple to set up, and they're pretty quick to help if you get stuck. Also if you have more than one device connected to your TV you can use DNS codes for UK on one, and USA on another (I have USA Netflix on the Playstation3, and UK Netflix on the TV, so I don't lose the UK content which is different (BBC comedy etc) as well as smaller).
I paid about £29 for a year's subscription, which includes a VPN. They have promo codes for if you recommend them on Facebook or Twitter to give you free month (use up to 6 a year). There are others (DNS Donkey etc) that do the same thing.

All that said, I don't use either much anymore as I use the free Flixanity website for pretty much all TV & film these days, and Airplay it from the iPad to the TV.

Thanks, hadn't heard of Flixanity. I've been using Show Box but will see how good this is, cheers...8)

Flixanity is good, but all the videos are hosted by third parties, and there are often pop-up ads to get rid of before playback starts. Sometimes it works first time, sometimes it plays after 4 or 5 pop ups. Once you get over that annoying fact, the content & quality is generally pretty good. It's pretty current for TV episodes also, certainly normally a series or so ahead of Netflix or Prime...

Hey I'd love to try this out

Just down the tunnel bear....it does exact same thing

I'm using turboflix, it works great! I've tried other codes aswell, and no issues!! Great selection of movies and shows that are not on the Canada Netflix, Give it a try!

Guyz n Gals, this is a massive rip off, you can already sign up to a site that does this, they dont ask for your netflix details and it only costs me £1.25 a month!

I don't notice any difference from the Netflix i used before i went through all the trouble of setting up Turboflix! After registering, I couldn't even use it for 3-4 days because every time i tried to log in,it just kept bringing me back to the same sign in page!! What a colossal waste of time for nothing!!

It works great. If you have any questions, you can read more here: Turboflix

They have a free 7 day trial with no credit card information required for a limited time

Just an FYI - Turboflix is a rip off!!!!! You upgrade to the subscription and then the service no longer works but you are still charged for the service. Their support is false as well, you send emails but never get a response back. Don't do even the free trial!!!!!!

What are the latest movies on turbflix
