Any recommendations for a wireless set for the xbone s that don't break the bank?

I would recommend the 420x on this deal above the new 600 / 700 stealths - I had all three and the 420x was spot on but the only issue was a dry connection on the plug in mic after 11 months which I reckon was just bad luck. I currently am using the XO Four Stealth - they are wired but only to the controller via a chat mixer and at £35 the value is just unbeatable in my opinion. I had the XO Four Stealth prior to the wireless options and following the testing of all three of those over one year I have returned to the XO Four and am totally happy especially at £35

In addition the 600 / 700 I updated the firmware and over two weeks both developed buzzing in left ear - this was in last four weeks so even with latest fixes in place issues persist. avoid

Astros apparently are excellent headsets but not cheap in the slightest

What would you recommend as a solid PS4 soundwhoring controller Onetime?

Not particularly fussed about wired or wireless or in game chat quality. (It doesn't have to be turtlebeach either)

Headset wise - what budget are you working to? Also what kind of games are you mainly playing?

Under 100 but I can stretch over if it's one you'd highly recommend.

Mostly Fortnite with a bit of COD chucked in. PUBG when it's released.

HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset PC/PS4/Mac/Mobile - Red amazon.co.uk/dp/…A0J

At that price it’s a steal and good reviews aplenty. Wired but as you say not bothered I would give that a go

I've heard that to get the full use of this one you need the Tactical Amp Controller. £170 is a bit steep to not even have the full effect of the headset

That one from amazon warehouse with 20% off = £70 - that’s without the TAC but you only need the TAC if you are playing in a noisy environment really - the only other advantages of the TAC are that you can control mic feedback and fine tune your bass levels - the headphones stand-alone are noise cancelling, memory foam and massively comfortable. You can pick a second hand amp mixer for between £20-£50 if you keep your eye out and only then if you find the headphones aren’t delivering. You have a returns policy on Amazon so you can try them and return if not entirely blown away

Edit due to poor maths

You can also get the combo of both headset and TAC from the warehouse currently for £160ish (£206 - 20%) if you really need that TAC and you want to pay £160 that would be awesome set up at a medium price. Anything better than that is looking at £200 + for ASTRO

Just a quick update and thank you, I went for the HyperX Cloud II and wow... Talk about value for money! Found them on the warehouse with 20% off, they were described as 'like new' condition but came brand new and sealed. Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again
