Was looking for a wire free headset, unsure if this is the one I really want still but thought i'd post as I couldn't see it anywhere else at this price.

Looks to be part of their Black Friday deals.

No controller adapters, no cables, just completely wireless DTS Headphone: X 7.1 Channel Surround Sound that puts you in the center of the action. Designed for Xbox One, the powerful Ear Force® Stealth 500X delivers incredible interference-free wireless audio and chat through a comfortable, functional headset design with up to 15 hours per charge. DTS Surround Sound Modes with genre-specific presets for music, movies and games further customize your listening experience. The Stealth 500X also includes a mobile cable for mobile gaming, music and movies anywhere you choose.

I have one of these from a few years ago. Still going strong! Great headset and that’s a great price! Heat added

Looks like a crackin price, could be persuaded

worth buying then? I have xl2's and the sound chops all the time. I see they have a similar receiver (tb300)?

Good headset ..I've had mine for just over 2 years and the only problem is the plastic perishing around the head band(lots of tape needed) I'd look at the new stealth 600 though before buying same price and connect to the Xbox like the controller no wires or receiver.

Better off buying a decent headset from a respected audio manufacturer like Sennheiser, Bose, Creative, even Logtiech if your buying at the lower end of the scale.

Do they have microphones that work with Games? You can plug any headset in for game sound but need the chat element

Does this headset do 7.1 on the Xbox then? Or just stereo?

Anybody got any experience of coolshop as a retailer?

Bought this headset when first released about 4 years ago and cost £200. Brilliant headset, great sound quality and excellent microphone. The only problem I've had is that after four years the plastic on the headband has now snapped. It has had a LOT of use though.

Mine were showing some stress fractures so reinforced with Sugaru. Know a couple of folk that have used it to repair headsets. Stuff's awesome.

Sadly no, did not get round to buying one in the end, but did not find sufficient info about it

Yes but you have to have the small base box connected to your xbox optical out port. With the 600x you don't use the box, it connects using the same wireless as the controller.

I've had it a week (600x) and am happy with it, it's only recently been released whereas the 500x is a few years old. The 600x also has the new Microsoft sonic surround which is getting positive reviews.

For the same price I thought it was worth going for the newer controller, some people have complained of some buzzing issues but seems largely fixed in the latest ones, worth the gamble for me

I was looking at the 600s. What are they like for competitive play? Like fortnite, hearing footsteps and the headsets helping you locate them without seeing them... I was looking for a pair that had the 7.1 surround as apparently that's the shit you want...but god knows really

I can't say it's majorly improved my game over the previous stereo TBs I had but I think I'd say the same for any surround on the market. It makes a subtle difference but I really only got them for the wireless aspect, the surround was a bonus. Would say the sound is slightly better quality though for sure.

Maybe see you on the fortnite servers sometime, can't get enough!

And just to clarify, yes, footsteps etc are very clear and you can easily tell where people are coming from when you can't see them, I just meant I also found this with my previous headset so if you don't/didn't/aren't using a headset then yes, it'll be a massive improvement.
