They are currently 110 on turtle beach but still not as good as deal as this.
Fine for PC. I wouldn't buy wired again now though personally.

Any others dropping in price?
how do these compare to the hyperx cloud 2, astro a50, steelseries siberia 840?
I will definitely get this for that price if it does drop.
There's definitely far better for the money.

For these though, yeah, good price.

Could you get a better headset for £100? The reviews of this set are pretty good when it was costing £220

So many wires

Looks good though. Hoping the LucidSound LS35x’s are on sale tomorrow on amazon 🤞🏻
Ordered amazing thanks
anyone know whether the PS4 version will work with XBOX One via the usb cable? I thought having the digital input is a good thing.

Thanks...

It... depends a little on your exact goal posts. Turtle beach, like the Astro's tends to be a fair chunk of "gamer tax". If you wanted better sound... depending on your connectivity options, yes. For £100.

Pretty sure even the consoles can take a headset with 1x3.5mm 4 pole (left, right, mic, ground) style jack? If so... definitely. Keep an eye out for deals on most of the Sennheiser HD5xx range. Not specifically a headset but... low ohm, easy to drive headphones with a detachable cable. Very easy to add an inline mic (some of them come with the cable), relatively easy even to add a boom mic cable (ends up looking like imgur.com/gal…Ny9). With deals... has been down to £80 recently and will absolutely blow most headsets away for sound quality.

As said, depends on exact goalposts.
The Sennheiser GSP range (some have USB connectivity) would be better sound quality too and... then there's a LOT of headphones that are "pretty" easy to mic (e.g DT770 imgur.com/gal…U4H). You'd run the extension cable down to a "joiner" that would take 3.5mm 3 pole (left, right, ground) and 2 pole (mic, ground) and give you the 4 pole connector needed for some consoles. Some headphones might be a bit hard to drive so need a small portable amp to give them a bit more power.

Say if I got the sennheiser hd599 for £89 how difficult would it be to attach a mod mic? I’m reluctant to open them up. The turtle beaches look a better option

So... the antlion modmic attaches with a VERY sticky wee "cup" on the outside.

Personally though, unless you need PERFECT mic quality (youtube/etc) use the cable in the box/get a cable with a simple inline mic (the ones with it on the volume/"pick up call" control on the cable for smartphone use) or something like: amazon.co.uk/Cab…DF/

or even amazon.co.uk/Ket…LKF for something cheaper

Nothing suggested needs any modding/similar that would mess with warranty, the sennheiser mic options suggested just plug in like the regular headphone cable in the box does.

headphone wise, still in the HD5xx range but... if you don't NEED sound isolation or completely leak proof sound: amazon.co.uk/Sen…47/ black, open backed, HD599SE.

I actually already have the HD 598CS and I'm using the single cable for mobile devices however windows doesnt recognise the mic!

Depends what you're plugged in to and... how that cable ends.

If it's a single plug for the whole cable... it needs to be something like a laptop/mobile jack that takes a 4 pole 3.5mm. The mic won't work without it as there simply isn't the connection terminals for it.

If you're plugging it into a "headphone" socket... it's likely only the left+right+ground. Get a "4 pole 3.5mm to 2x 3.5mm splitter". They should be about £3 From that headphone jack to headphone, mic jack to mic. (e.g: amazon.co.uk/dp/…0M0 ) Basically as per the image below. If you have the 4 pole jack it won't pick up the mic in a regular headphone socket.

I WOULD RECCOMEND THE ELITE 800 x over these
So I'm paying more for a headset than I paid for the console???
these or the Arcturis 9x?
These arent even wireless?

I WOULD RECCOMEND THE ELITE 800 x over these

I had the elite 800 x but they went wrong and I got a refund as they didn't have them at the time. They were a good but I don't think they were as good as my Astro A50s. Looking forward to trying out the Elite Pro 2.
@Fergout nahh 800x had them a while now nowt wrong play music thru headphones and play games at same time wireless receive calls theu them great soung 800x all the way
Cracking price but will these be ok for PS5 in November
For anyone thinkinf of buying these, theyre not the best. Sound doesnt go anywhere near high enough needed to game properly with and youre wired into the xbox so not ideal in this day and age. I expected much more for their RRP.
These or the Stealth 700

While I dont believe you can use the PS4 version on the Xbox One, the xbox can output sound via the USB port. Many other headsets also use this connection.

These or the Stealth 700

Although the elite pro isn't wireless reading the reviews is should be a much better headset. The reviews coming in when it was £220 were very good so surely a newer headset and at only £100 must be a bargain. I've had tons of great headsets and I've bought one.
Thanks I thought similar and have ordered one.
Could have got it from Turtle beach for £10 less but with Amazon can send it back if its crap.

Watched a few more videos. Looks great but all are saying you have to use it with the amp to get the most out of it which you would anyway. Its sat in my cupboard for sons Christmas present
