Amazon also selling the PS4/PC blue version for same price. Not got time to do a deal.

Why anyone would buy these over HyperX is beyond me. Not voted either way

Because the HyperX are wired to the controller jack and these are wireless to the xbox itself maybe

Amazon now 75.99

True but I sort of have to agree with icecreamwoman here. Over the past 5 years I have went with wireless headsets every time due to no wires. However, Today I bought an HyperX Cloud 2 headset for £55. Connected it to my PS4 controller and instantly noticed the difference between my Sony Platinum and the HyperX. Much clear audio quality, better bass, better mic and this is just in stereo mode. I can't wait to try them with a mixamp.

I have these headphones, they're fantastic. Work fine on PC as well, wireless range is very impressive.

As an alternative. For exceptionally good sound (on the edge of audiophile) take a look at the Sennheiser 598SR headphones. Add a "ketdirect 2.5mm sennheiser boom mic" (amazon). The combination will come to about... £85/90. There's some good deals on the 598SR's on ebay (mine come tomorrow hopefully )

The setup will beat.... basically _any_ wired headset (with the minor detail that the SR's are open backed so leak sound a bit and don't block out external noises), be about as tidy as a headset and is rather well priced compared to what's generally available elsewhere.

Just bought the stealth 700’s for 130 a few days ago as well and now they’ve went down to a 100. That would be my luck! Great price for both tho best added

Are these still plagued with the buzzing in the left ear? I had a pair of these a while ago but had to be returned, which was a shame as I liked them a lot.

If you have any appreciation for sound, Sennheiser - Bose - Philips - HyperX - Logitech - Even the budget AKG are better in the sound department and have headsets in the same price bracket.

Why anyone would pick Turtle Beach is very questionable - Poor sound quality, standard functionality.

Get yourself a pair of Astros. These are medicore at best.

I wouldn't touch Turtle Beach again after hearing even some mid range audio products from the likes of HyperX and Logitech.

I have Astro A50 Gen 3 and they blow everything away.

Turtle Beach are aimed at children who know no better.

If you go on eBay you can find old Astro Mixamps for £20, it's the best £20 you will spend in gaming audio paired with Cloud 2 or Alpha

You're right. They're good alone, but through the Mixamp you have an entirely different beast.

Wish the HyperX did a wireless version the same Stealth 600/700 that connects to the xbox then would be a win win!

Got a Turtle Beach T.A.C mixamp and a Astro mixamp TR I picked up from CEX a few days ago. Not tried them out yet. Didn't know which one to get so got both. Once I have fully tested and have settled on one. The other is going back for a refund.

Paid £70 for the Turtle Beach T.A.C uk.webuy.com/pro…TAC and £45 for the Astro uk.webuy.com/pro…084

With the Astro Pro TR you need to be careful when ordering online. If you get the black one this only works with PS4 and PC. If you get the white one that only works with PC and Xbox One. To my slight annoyance I now notice there is a £32 mixamp which is compatible with PC,XB1,PS4 it just doesn't have dasey chain features (for LAN party) like the TR model does.

Since there both second hand returning one of them won't be a problem providing I return it within 14 days. I was unsure which one to get. So I bought both to try out. Both pretty much sound the same but the Turtle Beach T.A.C offers a few more features. So am keeping that and bringing the Astro Mixamp back for a refund.

You can take any product back you buy from the web store to a local CEX store. If not then I believe you might have to pay the postage for the return but I might be wrong on that one.

Edit:

Returning Your Order You can take your item(s) back to your nearest CeX store (don't forget your invoice!) and have them refunded in-store, just click here for your nearest branch.

Alternatively, you can return it to us by post, for either a refund or replacement. In order to quickly process for return, please include a note mentioning your order number and the reason for return.

There are two free magic ways to get your stuff to us:
1. Royal Mail Freepost (R48) where each parcel is insured up to £100.
2. Collect+ where each parcel is insured up to £100.

PLEASE NOTE - CeX is not responsible for any damage or loss that happens in transit. Using these services your parcel is insured for up to £100. For higher value orders, we recommend using a fully insured service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery, which we will refund you for via cheque (excluding unwanted items).
