Great headset

I ordered one from Game last night for £35 and I thought that was a bargain.... so this is a really good find. Heat added.

PX21 is better and worth the extra

Good deal, for those on a budget for kids these cheaper versions are much better than the standard xbox branded type.

Ouch is that because they are wireless or something? or just in general more expensive

Not wireless even, just more expensive, about the only plus is that they will work on PS3, XBox360 and PC.

More info here: turtlebeach.com/pro…spx

I have Turtle Beach X1 that I use on XBox360, and they really are very good. Highly recommended.

They are powered by Usb and the Microphone for say a pc/mac is through the Usb lead

Turtle head?

Cold because your a swansea fan

Hot really!

Okay if you don't mind wires everywhere, and the knowledge that they're the cheapest Turtle Beaches you can buy. But if you're on a budget and only have the standard headset it's a good price.

Heeeeat.

Just bought a setr of these last week. I love em. The wires arent really an issue if you put em away after use. I hardly notice, and deffinately doesnt bother me enough to upgrade to the way expensive wireless sets.

Heat, and informed my bro as he is after a set...and my housemate....

these only for 360 and pc? No ps3?

Great price but if you can afford the X41's then go for them.Brilliant headset for gaming on and offline and also great for movies. My games have never run through my tv speakers since the day that I bought them.I really couldn't be doing with the extra wires..would do my head in.

as above really I also have some x41's and they are truly awesome but if you are just a casual gamer and had the same problem that I had (the standard 360 headphones breaking) then these are a great buy

heat added

Great price but I ordered from game, £2 more but quidco + game points plus more reliable faster postage. x41 lol great headphones but they are going on 5 times the price !

bought these about 10 days ago on amazon for £35, hopefully they will arrive soon, i hate amazon now i cant say if they are good but ive tried the px21 and they are awesome heat

great deal, great headset, FACT!

As someone above said, you'll need the px21's for ps3. They work on xbox 360 & pc too.

Just so you know these work with PS3, PC and xbox. I use them for call of duty on my ps3, fantastic sound.

To make it work on ps3 you need a USB sound card which can be bought for a fiver from amazon or ebay. HEAT!

EDIT: USB sound card

Why the attitude? Shall we not bother posting deals anymore just in case some muppet like yourself already has an alternative???

I actually have a pair of these and voted hot as they're a good price - merely stating my opinion above.

Astros arent great though.

For anyone wanting a decent read:

Best 2 headsets are Razor Carcharias and Steel Series V2 according to that (Maybe the Sennhesier 360s)
(Astro mixamps are great, but their headsets aren't that good)

Having owned the Steel Series V2, I'd peg the audio quality around the A30's for sure, and the Microphone is much better indeed. So why am I using the A30's? Firstly, the Steel Series headband broke and they refused to replace the headset. Short of using some masking tape on the damn thing (which I did for a few months) I needed a new headset! I'm one of those people that takes extreme care with their stuff and makes it last as long as possible, so I was disappointed that the product broke on me.

Second reason why I'd choose the A30's, they're a complete headphone solution rather than just a headset. If you want to use them on the train or at work (or if you're one of those people that loves to wear on ear headphones on the highstreet you'll love them) then you can without fear of looking a bit odd with a boom microphone protruding out, like those Razors you mentioned. Even though the steel series has a retractable microphone (which is excellent) they're still a bit on the large size to use out and about.

Bottom line of course is, there are better gaming headsets than the Astro A30's, but if you want something a bit more versatile for not much more money, they're worth considering. Just comes down to preference at the end of the day and I've finally settled on these after trying shed loads of headsets. Oh and you're right about the mixamp, the wireless one has absolutely blown me away, no interference unlike the TurtleBeach X41's!

just bought these.great price heat added.

Out of stock and price gone up to £37.99 ffs

Just had a look and they are now £38???
