great price

cracking deal..

Are any of these especially good? As from a quick search nothing jumps out at me....

Are there any more details available regarding the Code?

The quote the OP, "using code K3TY-MK3H-6Q6M for an extra £50 off"

Is the Code still valid, if so when does it expire?
Is there a mimimum spend to qualify for getting an extra £50 off?

I could be very tempted by one of these TV deals if so.

£50 off television orders over £350

not sure of the expiry date but its still valid. as far as i can tell the mnimum spend is £350. i tried it on tvs below £350 and it didnt work. it will work with any tv over that amount

Yes, I've just done some more looking around and you are correct, the mimimum spend is £350 and the expiry date seems to be 17th May, so I have 7 more days to decide.

Thanks for posting OP.

Ive gone for the Samsung PS42C450 for my games room. Im not too bothered by full HD, i just want it to be a decent all round TV with good refesh and reponse rates.

I was going to say the same but read it doesnt output at 1080i, pretty big drawback in my opinion.

where do you enter the code? Went through checkout right up until screen that asks for payment details, but didn't want to enter incase I've missed something and the code entry isn't on the next screen!

The LG 42PJ650 seems to be really good, positives that i can see are: 42inch, plasma, slim 5cm, looks like a samsung. Negatives: not full hd, plasma (for gaming).

I am tempted but I will do alot of gaming...decisions, decisions...

Nothing can output at 1080i unless the TV is 1080p or a very old 1080i (not 720p) TV's HD Ready TV's that are 720p or 768p will never output at 1080i as they do not have enough pixels to do so. They can accept a 1080i input and then downscale it to the native resolution. All HD Ready TV's will do this.

I have the samsung its a pretty awesome tv imo for gaming. Although sky sucks on it real bad.

I have the ld450 and its a great tv for sport and general viewing! Not bad for gaming either! Would recommend to anyone!

Gaming is my main reason for buying it, and if i watch movies it will be bluray on the PS3, or 720p files. Sky comes from a Cat5 AV unit, and only connects in phono. My current Samsung LCD looks perfectly fine in 720p. I was hoping to spend around £400, but for £330 im very happy with this purchase. Hope it's as good as i expect!

And if using for gaming 1080i is terrible as it is in interlaced format, 720p (progressive) is better for moving objects while 1080i is better for still images.

Unless you are going to use it as a big photo frame I wouldn't worry :o)

heat added for a great deal

That will come down to the settings for the Sky input (SCART or HDMI?)
I've got a different model Samsung Plasma and you do really need to change the settings to get the best out of it. have a look on AVforums for this model. Once you've had a tweak the picture is superb.
