Thanks for the info - the other thread was for a £3.99 bracket from Amazon UK and it would appear it had been expired as no longer in stock and the price then amended after this marketplace post - as they were two different sellers and deal prices this deal can be allowed and I'll reinstate the other deal back to the original info - thanks to both members posting

they cost a small fortune and you dont need them.... you can still use this as this is what i used .
all you do is get a 1 meter piece of 150mm x 50mm softwood . cut it in half ( 2 x 500mm pieces) you then need to put a 45 degree cut along each length . then plug & screw each piece against the wall using a minimum of 100mm but preferably 150mm screws . then get a piece of 18mm mdf, 500mm high by whatever width your tv is less 100mm. then screw this to the softwood using a minimum of 70mm screws.
simply screw this bracket to the mdf and hang the tv for a beatiful and cheap alternative for a 45 degree corner fix. (_;)

Posted on other thread but did pay this price so..

Ordered, also added a right angle HDMI connector because you might find its impossible to plug in HDMI's (Or any connectors) with the TV so close to the wall.

Also, if your TV get's hot consider a regular mount, not a slimline, as this would decrease ventilation

I don't like artex or the blue lights but that is harsh - neat install job.

If someone is boastful and says "mine will look better and STRONGER than any swivel" to me, i don't think its harsh for me to laugh when it fails on looks alone, without even finding out how strong it is or isn't going by the failed visuals

Looks like embossed wall paper made to look like artex. Nothing wrong with that and you can piant too. Looks far better than modern multicoloured wall papers with massive floral prints.

The irony of your avatar.........

Lights behind a TV soften the effect of the TV making it more comfortable to watch with the lights out, and can make the blacks look blacker (as your eye isn't comparing them to pitch black)

no need to continually insult me pal..... all i was trying to do was help a poster save money and be constructive as my option would cost a fraction of a swivel/cantilever type bracket yet still have the strength and security as you would be fixing the tv bracket from amazon to the already anchored mdf back panel.
NO WAY was i boasting either ....my method of fixing which i do on a nearly daily basis is extremely STRONG ( which i what i was stating) and as regards to better " i mean you dont see one single bit of wire/cable /anything above or below my method of fixing as opposed to seeing spagetti junction behind the tv when you simply use a corner swivel bracket .
you was insulting saying "get a swivel bracket and have a tidy job" .all i did was post my picture to prove that it CAN look tidy at a fraction of the cost .
you again insulted me as regards to my lovely artex X) which it isnt ... its anaglypta embossed thankyou as we dont have the luxury of perfectly flat walls down here in the south .
your third insult stating my tv looks like a bot racers car ..... next time i decorate my house or buy something do i have to get your approval.
your fourth insult "So no need to do a bodge job with a bit of wood for the sake of a few quid " my method is not a bodge job ... i do it for a living making bespoke lounge home entertainment furniture and instalation so my method is not a bodge and the way i desribed would of saved that poster more than a few quid thankyou.
do you seriously have a chip on your shoulder or have it in for me or what , all im here to do is save money and help others save money , but all you appear to do is offer no help ,give no constructive advice on this thread but insult me again ,again and again.... your a waste of space and grow up you child

Have to agree cadmus - your install looks mighty fine - I had thought of something similar (a narrow shelf to support the table stand), but loving your idea - thanks for posting (even if you did get slagged off by silly people).

does this mean we're not pals anymore :|Your the one who insisted it … does this mean we're not pals anymore :|Your the one who insisted it would look better (that is boasting)and judging by the "likes" i got others agree with me that it doesn't, so if you can't take the criticism don't make claims that you can't back upYour contraction wouldn't of been hardly any cheaper if at all and cost a lot more in time and effort.By the look of yours you've hidden the cables in a bit of trunking at the back, not hard to do with any wall barcket LOL your the one with a chip on your shoulder, i didn't agree with the lights you nicked from under your saxo and now you've had a chavvy rant at meAnd i did help by mentioning you can get a swivel bracket from £20 on amazon, if the tv is under 24" i think there was one for around £10

being helpful to others i define as leaving links etc not just say so and sos cheaper at wherever.
pleaase read what i wrote above ... how was i boasting ! i said mine was better in relation to no wires above or below were visable in relation to a corner swivel and stronger in relation to the multiple fixings i applied ... no way was i stating mine was visually better
you seem to be making all the wrong visual assumptions again. thats not trunking thats a gas pipe behind a papered 12mm plasterboard angle. my wire and cables go through a brick which t then run down a cavity and out ... again i dont make tat so stop saying it

whatsThePoint

i said its not as good as you think (by a long shot), moan about it all … i said its not as good as you think (by a long shot), moan about it all you like but that fact won't change, LOL all this over a silly wall bracket, mind you best laugh i've had all day

i know its silly what youve been saying to me but i forgive you coz i dont know how big you are and you might come down and kill me because of hotukdeal rage ... if thats the best laugh youve had all day you must lead a very very dull life friend . goodnight fellow member

I think it looks good, I also think you are proud of your work, you should be! if some people don't like it they can buy a nice swivel stand!

I will be putting my wires in the corner as well. Never thought of it ...Doh!
