In store only mate .

There were only a few left in Nottingham when I checked, as the nice lady in store phoned round the local stores to ask for me. I couldn't tell you about other areas though.

Thanks for that - I just clicked on the link saying "Go to Deal" assuming that would direct me...

lol i did the same

hot. these are normally £150 and hard to get discount on

As i understood it, with this recorder you cannot record two channels at once even though it has got 2 tuners, you can only record one and watch one for some reason. Other wise good reviews.

True, but for a decent one that does that you are looking at the Humax 9200T's which are around £60 more for 90Gb less capacity or a Topfield which are over £100 more expensive. The machine reviews very well, is very energy efficient and seems to be a very well made and thought out system, much better than the usual

Dont waste your time....No one in stores seems to know what Im talking about when I phone!!!

Maybe you're not asking the right questions :-D.

Seriously though, the only places I know for sure have them are a couple of the Nottingham stores because I had to find one for myself, but then I didn't look for any outside of Nottingham as there are quite a few stores close to where I live and in the end I had the choice of a few to go to. Even then I had to go into the store and point at one before they knew what I was talking about. The first store I went in oddly enough only had a box, very handy for pointing at and saying "one of those", after that it was easy .

It's the same model that was in this ALDI deal 6 months ago: ]http//ww…ot/ and the same model that is £199.97 from Tesco: ]http//di…spx if that helps.......

EDIT: I'll try to see if there's a product code or something on the reciept tonight, that might help your search.

The TVonics is also branded as Wharfedale and Argos have been selling the 160Gb version for half price (£74.99). THAT would be a bargain if it was in stock :-(

argos.co.uk/sta…htm

Just visited my local store at Stockport, in there they are £150 but there are none in stock as they have apparently been recalled due to a fault, may bee the reason other stores are selling them off, anyone else found them at the lower price???

These are available for £99.99 just picked one up

Ok so there's no obvious product code on the reciept, it just says "DIGITAL TV RECORDER 99.99B", hope that helps someone.

For reference this: ]http//im…jpg is the original flyer from when ALDI first started doing them at the higher price, as mentioned the price has since come down.

£25 for an extra 90Gb, support direct from TVonics which you don't get with the re-branded Warfdale and actually in stock in some stores, now that IS a bargain .

I did a lot of looking into these before buying one on ]DIgitalSpy, ]AVForums, ]Which? etc. as I'd never heard of the company before. There's been no recall to my knowledge and a quick Google for "tvonics recall" brings up nothing. From what I've read they're very reliable, well built, well designed machines, with good support and I must admit so far my experience has been pretty good with it. The only compalints I've heard are about the lack multi-channel recording and lack of USB connection. There is however, from what I understand, a new model due out soon, so that's a more likely explaination for the price drop.
