Finally the entire series on bluray and the prequel movie along with deleted scenes and a whole host of stuff for Twin Peaks fans.

Overseen by Lynch himself, finally we have a definitive bluray of the original classic series! due for release on 29th July

Arriving for the first time on stunning High Definition Blu-ray with English 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio on July 29th, this comprehensive collection contains every episode from the complete television series; both the U.S. and international versions of the series’ Pilot; the North American Blu-ray debut of Lynch’s follow-up feature Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me; and nearly 90 minutes of deleted and alternate scenes from the film.

The set also features newly transferred Log Lady introductions for each episode; picture upgrades to many shots in the TV series; a new featurette with Lynch and the actors who portrayed the Palmer family which includes a mesmerizing return to the lives of their characters today; and hours of never-before-released material that dives into the fascinating story behind the celebrated pop culture classic.

Along with a newly transferred version of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, created from a 4K scan of the original negative, Twin Peak - The Entire Mystery Blu-ray box set boasts the long-awaited missing pieces from the original version of the film – nearly an hour-and-a-half of deleted/alternate scenes from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me – often referred to as the “holy grail” of Twin Peaks fandom. This feature-length experience has been directed and edited by Lynch exclusively for this release. Capping off more than 30 deleted/alternate scenes is an epilogue providing a fascinating glimpse beyond the cliffhanger finale of the TV series.

Twin Peak - The Entire Mystery is loaded with special features. In the two-part feature “Between Two Worlds,” Lynch himself interviews the Palmer family (Leland, Sarah and daughter Laura) about their current existence in this life and the next, and follows up with a discussion with the actors who portray them. Twin Peak - The Entire Mystery also features “Moving Through Time: Fire Walk With Me Memories,” an exclusive retrospective documentary featuring interviews with cast and crew who recount the making of the Twin Peaks movie and working with David Lynch. The collection also features high-definition versions of the Log Lady episode introductions, transferred from recently unearthed 16mm film negative, a selection of newly discovered deleted scenes and outtakes from the television series, and three Twin Peaks photo galleries with over 130 behind-the-scenes images from David Lynch’s personal never-before-released collection.

Also new to this release are 10 vignettes of iconic Twin Peaks themes called “Atmospherics.” Each features a unique montage of music, dialogue and video (including some rare outtakes) that appear as both menu backgrounds and as their own textless experience to further immerse fans in the mysterious world of Twin Peaks. Additionally, the set features a massive collection of pre-existing special features, some of which have been re-mastered in high definition exclusively for this release, including the award-winning four-part documentary “Secrets From Another Place: Creating Twin Peaks,” and a newly extended version of the Gold Box featurette “A Slice of Lynch,” featuring the complete and uncut conversation between David Lynch and actors Kyle MacLachlan and Mädchen Amick.

Additionally, this 10-disc set houses an extraordinary archive of special features culled from the entire history of Twin Peaks on home video, including featurettes, cast and crew interviews, promotional reels, archival deleted scenes...and much, much more. Twin Peak - The Entire Mystery will be available in 1080p with English 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio (Series and Feature), original English Stereo 2.0 (Series and Feature), Latin American Spanish Mono (Series), Latin American Spanish Stereo (Feature), Brazilian Portuguese Mono (Series), French Mono (Series), French 5.1 (Feature), Italian Mono (Series), Italian Stereo (Feature), German Mono (Series), German 5.1 (Feature), Castilian Mono (Series), Castilian Stereo (Feature), Japanese Mono (Series), and Japanese Stereo (Feature). Wow thank you very much

Where have you got the RRP of £69.99 from?
I'm a massive Twin Peaks fan but this still seems expensive to me for 2 seasons, even with extras!

"Someday my log has something to say about this"

Cheers, I've stuck it through Flubit. Hopefully it'll come back cheaper

thanks, can cancel my US preorder now

Heat for Twin Peaks. Been waiting for this for a long time.

hmmm am sure it will look much better but not sure if it really matters to me

Never seen this. Is it any good?

Cold, no FWW..Oh wait...

Not sure why the delay; I think they may have missed the boat with this. Still seems expensive to me.

and hot!

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, two cups of good, hot black coffee, or a damn fine blu ray boxset.

I think it is definitely too much for this now days, you can get the gold DVD + fwwm for combined price of less than £20. The price of this I expect yo come down very quickly - £25-30 in a few months I reckon.

Absolutely brilliant show though, still would give anything for season 3

Oh no ..... I'm gonna have to change my avatar LOL

Haha coop, you're right as always! I might just give my self a present of that gum I like that's back in style!

Unless this is in any way a limited run (doubtful) then I am prepared to wait until its down in price, still voting hot for what it is, the cheapest price on pre-order. To some that cannot wait, uber-fans its worth it I can understand.

Will be keeping my eye on the price for sure, and may likely end up on my santa list the end of the year.

First series is great... Second not nearly as good and generally irritating!

Agree that this is expensive for what it is. You can get the equivalent DVD set for less than half this price (definitive box set frequently on sale for £12-15 and Fire Walk with Me currently £7 at Amazon on Blu-ray), so you've got to really want the HD picture to pay this price. Not convinced myself

Voted Pie, and i mean HOT!

That's a horrible cover. Why not keep the original Laura Palmer photo on it?

I thought the same, not a fan of the cover art. I have the scandinavian Twin Peaks Definitive box set complete with art cards, and think the packaging is far nicer, then again its all about the disk content and audio/video quality where this trounces it.

For those who (understandably) are a bit wary of this price. The entire series is on US Netflix. Not the same i know, but still.

Currently re watching it on usa netflix and Bob still scares the beejesus out of me and im 35 years old!

Really looking forward to seeing this, it seems like we've been waiting an age for it to be finally released on blu-ray.

However I don't see this is a hot deal, it's just a standard price, this is likely to be the highest price it will ever be, so where exactly is the hot deal in this?

It was very fresh at the time, still worth checking out, although I wouldn't pay this much for the Bluray upgrade.

Season 2 has too many uninteresting silly filler episodes and the prequel film was rubbish.

The first season was as divine as a perfect slice of cherry pie; the second season and film not so much. I'll give this a miss until it drops in price a little more, but there's certainly a whole lot of extras there to enjoy. That gold box edition is looking less definitive by the day...
Edited by: "DaveRay" 18th May 2014

As much as I love this show, I wouldn't pay 50 quid for it. The quality can't be that much better than DVD and it totally lost the plot after the first half of the second series (Do yourself a favour and stop watching after the episode titled "Drive With a Dead Girl")

In the press release email from Paramount it states the Usa version is priced at $129 and the UK version at £69.99

This set is going to be great - already ordered when it was announced a few days ago but this deserves heat for brining it to the recognition of others.

From a fans point of view, well worth it for the extras. 'Fire Walk With Me' was poor in its original cut but the promise of effectively an extra movies worth of material is as the blurb says 'the holy grail'. The new stuff shot by Lynch should be worth it's weight in gold too.

Those saying to stop watching after the first season are very, very wrong. He first season was only 8 episodes, it stays very strong for 16. It's still worth sticking with after that simply for the last 3 episodes and one of televisions greatest ever endings.

THAT ending - a real what the hell moment for television!
