Spotted these at my local Iceland, tried them out just now and the tea is actually quite nice!

I got one of these packs after it was posted on here that they were reduced to 75p at Iceland.

Obviously they've now been further reduced and at a halfpenny per teabag, they are good value. I think that describing the tea as quite nice is pretty generous though.

I've never had the 'simply tea' variety but, if it's anywhere near as good as the earl grey, it's brilliant value. Shame I don't want to go to iceland :[

£0.005, or 0.5p. Not 0.05p

wow what's with all the tea deals today??!

Half a pence, (remember them) a bag, good deal.

Good to have as a standby.
Heard these are a bit weak though.

I bought these and I am no tea snob but they are really weak, they actually make me feel sick cause they are soo weak, Ihave just managed to finish the box but really had to squeeze each bag to get any flavour!!!!

I tried these T bags, they are vile, not even worth half a pee.

Tetley or Sainsbury's Red Label, nothing else comes near.

Remember not to put any milk in... these teabags are for black tea ;-)

The best twinings is the all day breakfast, good and strong, this one is like knats ****,sorry cold

Original Poster

but i really did think it was quite nice

theres no doubt that this tea isn't as strong as twinings english breakfast etc, but you can always add another 0.5p teabag to adjust it to your liking

and perhaps because i made my tea in a cup rather than a large mug i found it alright

The Earl Grey and Darjeeling are t'best.

Darjeeling is the best! Earl Grey is a bit 2 strong IMO, I sometimes have the Lady grey.

I agree with Jeff Bridges above...

I've never tried this tea but I too am a massive lover of Sainsbury's Red Label! Quickbrew is also a firm favourite in this house

Ooooh, there's nothing quite like a cup of rosy is there?!!

Punjana for me evry time!

Twinings of any description is just tainted water.

Twinings is a lovely cuppa and this is a bargin as I just paid much more in Morrisons!

Half a penny, "pence" is plural.

Great price but not worth making a special trip to Iceland for.

It really is a pet hate of mine for people to pick up on silly things like grammer errors in forums, do YOU really have nothing else better to do than pick on other people's English, I myself am an English teacher and it does not bother me in the slightest how people spell in forums.

got 3 packs. half a penny per bag is a good deal for branded tea
