Beware, these need a 2.4ghz network and don’t work with mesh. Utter nightmare. Mapping is hit and miss. Generally poor product not worth half this discount price.

Works fine on my mesh network.... Love the lights, got 2 sets just ordered another 2, thanks op

No, very cheap. Find us a better price. Or a another commercial set of individually addressable LEDs cheaper.

Bought these at the weekend and they’re excellent. Set up was super easy and the effect is brilliant.
I bought a 7ft tree and bought two boxes from Argos (so 4 sets in total) and it gives great coverage. The denser the lights are on the tree, the better the effect.

Oh so one of these is two sets?

Waiting for the 1000 light version to be released. 400 isn’t really enough

I have 400, 250 and 2x 190 version of these and all work great.
You can sync all to the one.
Brilliant price for outdoor rgbic lights

They're still floating around at this price

Without reading the title and seeing the picture first, I thought these were a bunch of liquorice sticks with the candy top on the end. 😄

    How much are these usually?

My worry is these are cloud based, I mean why for lights. So when they turn their servers off you will be left with static lights. I nearly brought them last year.
    Avatar
you can use them 'locally' too...
  15. Avatar
Good to know, others like techmoan on yputube seem to think they are only cloud based
    Avatar
Possible older versions were, current ones, certainly not.

These are great, the only thing I wish somebody told me before I bought mine is they can only be grouped in groups of the same LED type - ie rgb can only be grouped with rgb and rgbw only with rgbw.
I have one each and will be getting more of the rgb ones, and rgbw will probably be the "front door" set.
    Avatar
That's interesting - I wasn't aware of the RGB + RGBW grouping issue.
In fact, that makes sense as I have 400 + 250 RGBW on tree and 190 RGB icicle outside and I don't think that my son could pair / group them.

Bought a set last night as only 1 was available immediately and anymore had to be ordered in for delivery. I know people have said 250 won't be enough, but I've put them on a 6ft tree and it looks really good. Ordered another set though for next week to see what difference doubling up will make.

that's useful to know. I think more lights will give you a better transition effect. I've seen 400 on a 7ft tree on YouTube look really great.

I bought a 6ft tree from the Argos sale and bought 2 packs of these, so that's 500, but only one has been collected, the other one is available on Tuesday. I was thinking (when I put the tree up this weekend) I might need to go to 7 - 7.5ft to accommodate that many lights and get the Wow factor, but we'll see. :-) Next year I'm going to use some on an outdoor artificial Christmas tree. If I buy 2 packs of these, can I daisy chain them for effects, so they behave as one long strip?

Anyone know if u can add ya own gifs at all
    Avatar
Yes, but it's basic. Only released last week.

I’ve got 600 on a 7 foot tree. Best lights I’ve ever owned. Some of the patterns are gimmicky, but there are some really nice ones too.

Got the lights on tree, looks good.. but thinking needs more
has anyone any idea why they are in two bunches? And does it just take practice when using both bunches to decorate the tree, because it would be easier if they were all in one bunch

Did you work from the middle up and the middle down.? I got 2 sets on a 6ft tree and it works well, but it's difficult working with effectively 4 bunches of 125. How many lights, and how big is your tree? (edited)
  22. Avatar
From the top to the bottom, hadn’t thought about the way you said. It’s a 6ft with one set of the 250
