FROM AN EMAIL THEY JUST SENT THE PRICE IS MEANT TO BE £19 AND NOT £9.

I received an email from Norfolk Line, and it showed offers from £19.

When you go in to book a weekday crossing - there are generally two a day at £9 (which would then have the £2 fuel surcharge added).

So stock up with booze and fags for Christmas without paying punishing UK duty levels. Fill your car with fuel in Belgium for a big saving too. In fact most things there are cheaper, so why not bring back Christmas dinner too.

The price will not appear until you pick the days to travel (weekdays) and then you will see the £9 option(s).

This is NOT an offer for a return on the same day - you can spread it over as many days as you can find a ticket back marked at £9.

Just as a point of interest - their site also shows they are planning a new Scotland - Belgium service.

the £9 crossings are always coming up at like 0200 in the morning (

Two in the morning is the best crossing time for most people from Manchester and further north, as it means you can drive to the ferry port avoiding any traffic congestion around major English cities. It also gets you to/through Brussels before the traffic is a problem there too.

Although for a trip to Adinkerke (where most English roll up tobacco comes from) you are best with a day return, as its only about a twenty minute drive from the Norfolk Line ferry terminal.
