Just a heads up for next Saturday the 14th of March when the Sun will be printing tokens for two tickets to Alton Towers. It will probably be collect 9 tokens as it usually is. There was a big advert in today's paper, so it will definitely begin next Saturday. You can buy the sun while you're out shopping for your mans steak.

Thanks for the heads up. Haters will hate but luckily you don't have the read the paper to get the tickets and they even tell you what page the little tokens are on. If buying the paper is supporting phone hax0ring, Hillsborough or whatever it is people are morally outraged at News International for these days, why not spread some of your double standards to Amazon UK deal and moan about tax evasion, or perhaps demand a living wage for workers on a Tesco deal?

Edit: The £30 gift card no longer available

Here is a variation on this deal. For a cost of £9.99 3 months digital membership 'new account':

- £30 Hamleys Gift Card via link below
- 2 Alton Towers tickets (Available from the 14th March )
- 2 Chessington Tickets (Available from April 25th)

£30 Hamleys Gift Card Link

p.s. you will need to keep a sharp eye on when the tickets go live on the website but these were the dates that i have seen previously

why is it disguising ?

tempted by the subscription offer. how long are the tickets usually valid for, must use within 1 month etc. ?

How does it work to get the tickets online, anyone know? will you get to pick a date, or give a selection as you would by buying the papers? heat added anyway, been waiting for this!

These are ok but these tend to coincide when the park is a lot busier don't they? I tend to just use the kelloggs bogof.. Then get next day at the park too. Think it works out 30 each for 2 days. It'll also work with the sun, so £12. But for the extra £18 each... You can go on the exact date when you want.

Im sure the sun give you a specific date? Could be wrong though as I've never used them, but I see a few for sale on eBay towards the summer. Anyway, Last year when we went we are able to go on the smiler around about 4-5 times in less than an hour.

Hate going to theme parks to go on 6-7 rides the full day. We went in September during the week after schools had gone back.

EDIT- Sun+ members can choose specific dates. Everyone else gets given the date they have to go.

2 hour drive to queue all day.... Even if it is free has the most ridiculous queue system. Thats with out free tickets queues usually 2 hours for 30 second rides. Maybe one day will have virtual queues like Disney and stop trying to push fast passes on people... Good deal tho just had to get that out me system :D.

It pretends to be a bright shining star at the centre of a solar system when really it's just a few pages of thin paper.

do yo have any specific details about amazon and tax evasion if so please pass it on to hmrc.

also fyi tax evasion and tax avoidance are two completely separate things. one is legal and the other isn't. AFAIK amazon legally haven't done anything wrong, morally though is another debate.

you get two tickets for a random date only, you pick between certain dates, e.g 21 march to 21 april and they give you random tickets.

I have to agree with you on the queueing system, thats why i always go early or late in the year, and avoid school holidays.

We chose out of summer hols dates last year, got allocated a Monday in oct. Rained a bit and not warm but that meant no queueing for anything. Just got on the Smiler, went round again for another go all within 15 mins.

All these Sun haters never fail to make me laugh. #buythesun

That's right, naked women were so last year. I'm done with them. Show me the vegetables.

the sun theme park offers use to be good at one time, collect tokens and go when YOU want.

for the past few years its been rubbish restricted to dates which THEY allocate you, all the faff of getting papers, collecting vouchers, deciding when to go, posting it off only to find that the day they give you falls during a school week, not all the people within your family/friends have been given the same dates. then to find dates suitable to all (by finding voucher exchange forums) then only to find when you get there its raining (high winds have closed the best/fastest rides) and you wish you hadn't bothered!

from MY experience not worth the hassle

Calm down, calm down.

you can sign up for a months free trial and still get the tickets when they go live on the 22nd of march without buying the newspaper

And the good thing is if you don't get the actual dates you wanted there is a swap free forum on this site and get the dates you want , I got 6 tickets swapped last year for the exact day I wanted , so your in free apart from the expensive £6 car park.

u silly people. I do this every year and go in october no never any quing u need 2 use ur brain

I subscribe to sun + with full access to perks. Please can anyone tell me how to collect tokens with the electronic version of the paper. will the perk be automatic collection for sun + members? any info/advice is much appreciated

This might help some people, note that the so called absolutely free tickets actually cost you £1.50 postage this year. perks.thesun.co.uk/pub…015

After using the sun vouchers last time it took us nearly 2 hours just to get in the place, I have never seen so many people at Alton towers the kids managed to go on 3 rides all day as the queues were well over 2 hours and the smiler over 3 and it didn't help that it absolutely threw it down. Never again would I do this I'd rather pay using a 2 for 1 voucher and pick my own date. When they first started this offer it was great there were plenty of dates they they sent you on but we thought it a bit unusual that 4 of us sent for our tickets separately and all got the same day.

Thorpe Park in July
Chessington in April
Legoland in May
Warwick Castle in June

Awesome , thanks for posting. I got 2 pairs of tickets last year & sold them via Facebook for 2 animal charities i'm involved with on Facebook. Will hopefully do the same this year as last year what cost me under £5 ( my brother saved the other tokens ) i made around £35 for dogs

Looks like you will have to collect 10 tokens this year?
