Just been in to Sainsbury's to pick up some clothes for the kids and take advantage of the current 25% off all clothing offer.

As it'll soon be summer term I was looking at the gingham dresses which are usually £4 each. They are on offer at two for £6 but when you go through checkout it knocks the £2 off but then also knocks off 25% of the original price so you get another £2 off.

They had two different styles (one more sporty than the other) and all the usual 'school' colours - blue, dark blue, green and possibly a few others.

I though you couldn't go wrong at two quid a dress!

I think the 25% off offer runs until Monday but not sure about the 2 for £6

(Picture isn't of the exact dress as I couldn't find anything on Sainsbury's site.)

Good price, thanks Now all we need is the weather for these loverly little dreesses ...

I can vouch for this - the same thing happened last year - I got 4 school dresses for £8 when it was the 2-for-£6 offer - lady on the till put it down to a 'blip in the system!'. Luckily for us, they didn't do anything about it then and the same thing's happened this year!!

I was quite surprised as the systems for multi-buys are much smarter than they used to be.

As a student I workd for years at Sainsbury's and fairly regularly got 'paid' for buying stuff from the staff reductions area. In those days when BOGOFs or 2for1s went through the till as soon as it scanned the 2 or 3 it knocked the full price of one unit off. So as soon as anything that I knew was on offer was reduced 'in the back' i'd pick a load up and get it either for free or end up getting paid to do it. I always bought something else though as I never had the balls to try and make the bill a minus amount.
