What is a Google Home Mini?

The Google Home Mini is a smaller version of the popular Google Home, with all the same features. A voice controlled speaker that can be used to play and control music, control smart home devices, create appointments, google search, or even play video / audio to a chromecast enabled device.

A newly introduced feature also allows you to make and take calls from the Home Mini, as well as locate your mobile should you misplace it in your home.
Scroll to the Special Offers area on the Argos website and select the appropriate offer, £68 for 2x Google Home Mini's or £49 for Google Home Mini & Chromecast.

Don't forget to have a try of the new Google Assistant Voices

Thanks just order two of these.
FYI, the mini's are fine so long as you have no desire to play music through them. There is a real lack of bass and it sounds a little tinny. The full size Google Home, by comparison, is much better.
Heat for a possible price war if only.
No Chromecast Ultra discount.
how do you get the chrome cast with it?
If only I needed two minis

Is it worth having google minis and alexas to get the best of both worlds? Was interested in a couple dots anyway
Still don't work with Sonos. I've been waiting months for compatibility but no luck yet.

For the price I expected the sound to be a lot worse. I think it's fine for background music.

But yea, I have the full size one and it is miles better

I'd say that music through the mini sounds more than acceptable.

This was really tempting. But I've already got one and they are far from perfect. If this is going to be your first one you should know there are a lot of things that aren't right yet. There are also a lot of things that are great about them, though. I guess there's nothing new these days about paying for the beta.

If you really care about sound quality you already have a decent set of 2.1 or 5.1 ch speakers. Just attach a chromecast audio by 3.5mm aux for 2.1 or toslink (yes they can take mini toslink!) for 5.1

I have 3 minis, 2 sets of speakers with chromecast audios, and a chromecast ultra. I've been using android since the G1, gmail since it was googlemail, and it's safe to say they pretty much own me at this point

meh I like most of their services and I only 'give' them the information I don't care that much about

Someone mentioned you can connect these up to Bluetooth speakers boe without Chromecast audio... Could be a winner for me as I'm currently using Alexa because if this feature.
