I can think of nothing my girlfriend would hate more. Visiting one of my favourite locations without an event taking place.

Thanks OP. Do you get to see any F1 cars? As I'd love the opportunity to be the 100,000,001 person to ask 'can I have a go in that'

Why not pay and take your bike/car on one of the layouts and have a proper experience. It's a great, really wide circuit with loads of runoff. I track my bike there once a year. It's mind boggling going through some of the corners thinking F1 do this flat out

interesting for a F! fan

Noooo. Pls pls don't go. Took this offer for ferraris 70th birthday. Absolutely ridiculous day. Unless VIP it was horrendous. Queued hours for everything. Treat appalling by staff. Unfortunately F1 A rich persons game. They really are just making money out of us , when get there large areas closed unless VIP. I've got ongoing complaint with Silverstone. Was pushed by security, fell over because I accidentally went into VIP area. Horrible. 😡😡

I went on something like this a few years ago and really enjoyed it. you would be surprised how much other stuff is there if you only think of it as an F1 race day circuit.

PlayStation had their GT Academy there with a workshop full of race-ready Nissan GTR's. Porsche have their own demonstration / test track out the back of the course. We got to see race control, the podium, the new "wing" as well as inside the F1 Paddock drivers club house and medical facility. There was a go-kart session running inside the main track, and Caterham 7's doing handling courses in another area just outside the track.

On the main circuit they were running an open pit day - a RWYB affair for those with seriously deep pockets, which started at an attainable level of Evo's and GTR, to AMG SLS Black Edition, Ferrari 458, Radical and a couple more that looked like they were LMP style race cars. The sounds they made coming past the pits which we were stood above was amazing.

You get to see plenty more areas of the circuit than you can have access to on F1 race weekend, and for a fraction of the ticket price.

No thanks, that's 50p more than I paid for the entire BTCC weekend for 2 of us last month.

Just turn up on a club race wkend, blag free entry by saying you are here for a experience day, then just stroll around on your own. Go into race control no one will stop you, stand on the wing and watch a clubman race

Those Radicals sound awesome, the supra sounds nice with the intake noise but all you can hear is the radical, lol; the supra has double the power too. interesting race between a heavily modded toyota supra and radical sr3, the supra has over double the power but the cornering ability of the radical is incredible (there is a another race between a 911 gt3 cup and a radical and the porsche spins

So why even bother to comment? All I see is you moan and complain on the majority of deals. Some of the crap deals you have posted before doesn't interest me but we don't go on disparaging them. Heat for the find as it's a nice gift for any motor racing fan.

Guided tour of the circuit is very vague. Are you walking around the track? Passenger in a car or minibus?

Or someone reading a script to you while clicking through PowerPoint slides in one of the meeting rooms?

Will never understand someone taking time to mock a deal of little interest to them, must be very bored indeed. Hot from me

I did a Radical experience day at Silverstone earlier this year. Probably the fastest car I'll ever drive, the grip was absolutely insane - and I only took it to a fraction of the limits (being my first track day and first time @ Silverstone). The passenger laps with the professional drivers were like a roller coaster x10!

Great fun, a shame racing in general is such an elitist sport Would love to take it up otherwise

It need not be elitist. If you check out 750MC RGB class, their best lap around Brands Hatch Indy are within 1 second of BTCC best lap. But the cars are changing hands for £5K-£6K for entry level cars like a used Pell Genesis.

Start with karts (get up to the 250cc superkarts and they often race on full size circuits and easily lap a lot quicker than a lot of bigger/much more expensive options.)
Or bike racing can be done on big circuits for a lot less money and hassle.

As for the deal - turn up a trackday and you'll get most of that for free.
Though as above - with so much other stuff around the area; sure it's easy enough to blag yourself into Silverston on a club race day too,

Oh wow that is a lot more affordable, thanks for the info . And as they're bike engines I'm guessing they're easier and/or cheaper to learn repairs etc than cars. Really like the look of those.
Another question if you dont mind me asking, if I was to buy one and register and look at entering races in the future, how does it work with regards to training and track time prior to a race? As I feel I'd be a bit of a hazard with virtually 0 experience haha

Just take the car on trackdays to start with.
Makes a lot of sense anyway - see if you enjoy it generally, see if it's the sort of car you want to race and so on.

I've had a bike engined kit car in the past and know a lot more about bikes. However, not sure that overall bikes engines make it easier - car engines of course are more designed for cars and are often simpler - you get a seperate gearbox, for instance.

Now 22% off with code TA10E39 £23.40

Would love to go but finally popped my cherry two weeks ago.
