Groupon's World Choice Sports deal is back as treble winners FC Barcelona try to defend their three titles at home and abroad in the 2015/16 season, and Groupon are giving you an opportunity to be there!

There's something for everybody in this deal, couples will be able to enjoy it like I did last year and even though her ladyship had to put up with 90 minutes of football, we had a great weekend seeing the sights of what is a wonderful city.

Simply purchase the deal through Groupon, wait for them to send you your code, and away you go!

In all options you will receive:

- FC Barcelona home match tickets (Category 3, General Admission)
- Two nights stay for two people in a standard double or twin room at one of the selected hotels. Wifi is included in the price where the hotel offers this service.

Visca el Barça!

Boring smallprint and things you will need to know:
1. Price is per person based on double occupancy, you must buy a minimum of two vouchers to complete the booking, or pay a single person supplement.
2. Must be booked by 20th August 2015.
3. Exact dates and kickoff times are not confirmed until between three weeks and eight days before kickoff. Much like the Premier League they can be any time from Saturday afternoon up until Sunday evening, so be careful when making travel arrangements.
4. 19/20 December Barcelona v Real Betis is likely to change due to the Club World Championship taking place. Would stay away from this.
5. Price excludes city tax of €0.72 per night.

This is great, gonna book for Athletico Madrid match I think

Yeh i was thinking the same. Cheap for that game

is this a good deal , I do T think its very difficult or expensive to get tickets for Barcelona ( compared to the prem) as the stadium is so huge etc....so the deal question is how much accomodat ion would normally cost

Great deal, but as fixtures not confirmed until 3 weeks before any game, then flights will be v.expensive

To look objectively -

Category 3 tickets are behind the goals.

Barca also categorize the opposition to set the pricing structure. They haven't done that for this season yet but if we take some games from last season:

Real Sociedad - Category A
Package Price: £109
Cheapest Cat 3 Match Ticket: €69 (£49)
= Ticket plus two nights hotel for £60

Deportivo - Category A+
Package Price: £99
Cheapest Cat 3 Match Ticket: €83 (£59)
= Ticket plus two nights hotel for £40

Valencia - Category A+
Package Price: £189
Cheapest Cat 3 Match Ticket: €83 (£59)
= Ticket plus two nights hotel for £130

So if you are going for the big games, you may end up with a bad deal. For the smaller clubs, you will end up with a Barca ticket and two nights hotel for as little as £40.

Barca tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster but they don't often go on General Sale in my experience, they tend to be resale of season ticket holder seats so can be quite dear especially if a big team are in town - I went to Barca v Bilbao in September last year and the tickets were €189 each!

What flight you getting? Thinking of taking my autistic kid with me.

Thanks for this

Thanks OP. A lot of effort went into this post. Last time I went to the Nou Camp, Henry was playing for Barca. Would love to watch the best team in the world again.

is there any for Bundesliga teams?

I am actually in Barcelona on the august bank holiday weekend. was hoping to book tickets direct from Barcelona for the malaga game. will they not go on general sale to non members?

Thanks OP. Looking at taking my son to a game so he can see Messi.

They do, but it's quite close to the game they go on sale. Tickets go on sale to members for a period and then any remaining tickets, along with season ticket seats where the holder is unable to attend. I used Ticketmaster.es.

We've just bought some tickets for Leverkusens first game of the season for 17 euro's each off the club site, plus return flights to Bonn from Stansted can be had for £20 with Ryanair.

I went to Dortmund last year and tickets weren't easy, deals like this don't tend to run for the Bundesliga teams and no tickets for the game we wanted went on general sale. In the end we had to buy them off ticketing site (think it was seatwave) for almost double face value.....

Annoying but totally worth it, the atmosphere was amazing and the city of Dortmund was an amazing place to chill out and drink during the day, very clean and friendly. The only downside (minor one) the toilet at the stadium in our stand only had one normal sized doorway....which meant at half-time you had hundreds of people crushing to try and get in/out lol.....Oh yeah and Dortmund also lost 1 - 0

On topic will probably do this and go for the Bilbao game in January.

I hope to go this year. Really want to see what its like. I've been following them since last season, (despite results and mainly thanks to BT Sport) because I am so impressed with the way the club is run and how it puts fans first over making massive profits

Sounds a great price.few drinks and a few laughs.i have a feeling it could get messi

Great deal..

Thanks, booked for the celta vigo - I assume the hotel has to be for the night of the match and the night before?

What company do you fly with and how much? Or haven't you booked flights yet?

Edited by: "Shayno" 25th Jul 2015

I don't understand this. The game against Athletic Bilbao is scheduled to take place on Friday 14th of August. Yet the hotel is booked for 17-18 August. Am I missing something?

Haven't booked flights yet, I was wondering if you could stay on the Friday and Saturday, assuming the match is on Sunday, then fly back on the Sunday rather than have a hotel booked

"1. Price is per person based on double occupancy, you must buy a minimum of two vouchers to complete the booking, or pay a single person supplement."

So you need to buy 2 vouchers....it's PER PERSON.....not so good.

Which contradicts...

"- Two nights stay for two people in a standard double or twin room at one of the selected hotels. Wifi is included in the price where the hotel offers this service."
Edited by: "robo989" 25th Jul 2015

only thing is games can get changed at little notice a bit of a headache if your booking flights
heat added though

6% Quidco as well.

Bargain to watch a game of 22 men falling over plus the occasional ball on the pitch

Good deal but just beware, the Spanish league only confirms match times usually a week before the game. So if the match ends up being the last one on Sunday, you will have to book another hotel night and fly the next morning, as well as taking time of work! Thats why its always a pain to go for a Spanish game just for the weekend.

I lived in Barcelona for a while and went to a couple of cheap games (about 4 years ago). There were a huge amount of empty seats, and despite having the worst seats in the house we just made our way to some empty seats closer to the front. The security was very relaxed in that regard. In fact, everyone just spent the whole bloody game throwing paper aeroplanes.

Great, I hope to get seats behind you to kick his chair all through the flight (_;)

The one I wanna see. Might stay instead though.

Not sure what isn't clear, it does say you need to buy two vouchers and the deal title says "From £79 per person". When you buy two vouchers, you then get two nights stay for two people.

Has anyone used Ryanair? Do you know what their charges are for baggage? Flight websites aren't clear and neither is their website. I've heard bad things - so just want clarification.

Between £15 and £35 for a 15kg bag, and £25 and £45 for a 20kg bag. It is dependent on the season and what flight you are boarding, however.

* Low Season From 01/10/14 - To 20/12/14
From 05/01/15 - To 27/03/15
From 14/04/15 - To 31/05/15
From 01/10/15 - To 20/12/15
From 05/01/16 - To 31/05/17

* High Season From 21/12/14 - To 04/01/15
From 28/03/15 - To 13/04/15
From 01/06/15 - To 30/09/15
From 21/12/15 - To 04/01/16

You're best off making a dummy booking for the flights and after the first screen it gives you the option to add baggage and a confirmed price.

Thanks - it seems hand luggage up to 10kg may be free, with bag size restrictions. Has anyone experienced this?
