3.1A?

Yes, Screwfix cheaper and better?

I've bought these already and can confirm they charge very quickly and don't have that annoying buzzing some of the cheaper ones do.

I thought screwfix were 2.0a?

No 2.1 but 3.1 is far to high for most devices if you are using 3.1 for a phone not only will you void the warranty for most manufacturers but you risk damaging your phone battery pretty rapidly.

This is a common misconception. The charging circuitry in the phone regulates the speed of charging. If the device can charge at a higher current safely it will.

Useful information, despite being geeky I never knew that.

Hot from me - looks better kit than the Screwfix ones

3.1A ideal for charging a phone and tablet at optimum speed. Heat

Voltage is pushed, so too high a voltage would fry your phone. Amperage is pulled, so your phone will only pull as much as it needs. So even if it was 47843567536755 amps, as long as its only 5 volts all will be fine.

Someone doesn't understand how electricity works.... because something can supply 3A does not mean the device will draw 3A. The device will draw as much current as it needs/wants. You won't void your warranty because you used a 3A charger.
