Great deal even if only for a spare pair of glasses!

You'll have to be quick though, offer ends 11.59pm on Mon 23 Sep

You can get two pairs of glasses for £16 delivered using code MSE16SEPT on top of two existing Glasses Direct* offers, before 11.59pm on Mon 23 Sep.

The £16.00 is the cost of 2 pairs of glasses from the £49.00 2for1* range. You can order the more expensive ones and still receive a discount but obviously will cost more than £16.00.
* Includes distance, reading and computer prescriptions.
* Excludes bifocals / varifocals and strong prescriptions - full details in the MSE link.
* Excludes Boutique frames

Here's what to do:

1. 2for1 on prescription glasses £49 or over. Glasses Direct has a range of frames priced from £49, which are currently on a 2for1 offer*, so you get the cheapest free. Once you pick your frames (Boutique frames are excluded), you'll be asked to choose your lens package. If you don't want any extras such as scratch-resistant coatings, you can avoid the extra costs by clicking on 'continue with basic lenses'.
** You choose anti scratch / anti glare coatings / thinner lenses etc for an extra cost but if you just want the basic lenses, when you get to the 'choose your lenses' page scroll down to the bottom of page and you'll find "continue with basic lenses" written in the sentence below the Platinum option button **

2. Code gets £33 off & free delivery. After adding the second pair to your basket, you can either enter your prescription or opt to send it later.
Prescription cannot be more than 2 years old (they ask you confirm the date).
Then use the code MSE16SEPT at the checkout by 11.59pm on Mon 23 Sep to get an extra £33 off ANY glasses where individual frames cost £49 or more (before the 2for1 discount), and free delivery.

Combining these offers could get you two pairs of glasses for just £16, plus free delivery.
What's more, the second pair doesn't have to be the same prescription as the first, so you could get one for yourself and one for someone else.

There's also a couple more Glasses Direct deals on the MSE site: moneysavingexpert.com/dea…ct/

Been waiting for this, thank you!
If you're looking for anything more than just the basic lenses from GD the code fab40 gives you 40% off your whole order better value if you need varifocals/ coatings etc.

Just got a new prescription, nice!
FAB40 is another one to try
Job done no problems
Thank you
Good deal if you can find frames you like. I got two pairs a couple of years ago, but somehow ended up getting large frames - which didn't fit properly (I can't remember site stating frame size at time of ordering). I'm still wearing frames I got a few years prior to that, which are considerably smaller/lighter than anything this site seems to sell.

I get where you.coming from but high street shops are rip off merchants where it comes to.glasses and are notoriously difficult to deal.with after sale.

I've got simple prescription and boots sold me overpriced junk with incorrect lenses I won't wear. They also made a lot of fuss to.correct those lenses trying hard to avoid any responsibility. So.I'm stuck with a product I won't wear and lost big chunk of money.

I then got three pairs in total from various online retailers and two are perfect, third one had lose hinge I got a replacement for pronto no question asked and no fuss. That in total costs me only 30 quid for three pairs of glasses I wear and I'm.happy with.
Wheres the best place to get cheap non prescription frames
The Daily mail article says that all the glasses from Glasses Direct were ok. I have had several pairs from them and they are all perfect. Waiting for my transitions glasses at the moment, taking a lot longer than the other pairs though.
Gone for the Jurgen Kloppers ........Just need to get my Gnashers Painted gloss white now......
Don't even support Liverpool!!.

When ordering glasses online, how do you get adjustments done to ensure they fit properly ?

I've ordered from GD and similar online companies a few times. My best advice would be to take all the measurements from your current glasses and compare with the measurments of each pair you like online. I have found this to be the most effective way of ensuring that you don't end up with a pair that are far too big/small! I just sit with a ruler and check my current glasses against it while looking online, you can work out if a few mm less/more would be okay. Hope this helps.
Im going to try this after Boots have put a huge price hike on their glasses in the last week, now charging £40 per paid for anti reflection coating which used to come as standard for free

Can anyone tell me what the eqivalent of anti reflection coating is from Glasses Direct ? all the online glasses companies seem to call it something different
I've been waiting for this offer, thanks for posting. 4 pairs ordered. Agree, they are good value and quality. Been shopping here for years. Couple of pairs with probs, gap between frame and lens but returned with no probs. Ideal to have multiple pairs for dopes like me who leave my glasses everywhere, sit on them, tread on them etc.
I have used this code just now so its still working at the moment.
Had my first eye test this morning since I was a kid and apparently I need some for distance.
2 Pairs for £16 and £2.66 has tracked on Topcashback so should work out as £13.34 for 2, or £6.67 each.
Happy with that! Cheers OP.
