A one-year railcard normally costs £30, but enter the code VDAY15 online at Two Together Railcard* before 11.59pm on Tue 19 Feb and you’ll pay just £25.50.

That means if you spend over £75 on eligible train fares in a year, even if it’s on one journey, then it’s worth getting one as the savings beat the cost of the card.

This card is great, but note that you MUST travel with the other person. If they are ill, for instance, your ticket is invalid too and if you've bought Advance tickets then that can get expensive.
can also get it for £10 worth of Tesco clubcard vouchers.

I had no idea how the £75 was relevant until I read that you save a third on every journey
Perfect timing OP- thanks.
This railcard more than paid for itself the first time we used it.
The Tesco deal is the way to go. If you want a railcard, buy fuel at tesco, the boys last student card was less than a tenner

If you always travel together then you'll save the cost of the second 50+ card
You can also get this for £10 if you know someone with the annual record gold card you have if you have an Annual Season Ticket or Annual Travelcard in the South of England. From TFL website:

"Benefits:
Buy a 16-25, Family & Friends, Senior, Two Together, Disabled Persons or Network Railcard (if eligible) for just £10 for you or someone else"

The full price of railcard is £30. You use £10 worth of Tesco points, £1 in vouchers is worth £3 towards railcard.

Yes but there’s a voucher code for the railcard which takes it down to £25.50. So then I would only need to exchange £8 worth of Tesco vouchers which is £24 leaving me to pay £1.50. Saving £2 of Tesco vouchers.

That's wrong. You don't get the discount if you use Tesco vouchers.

DON'T FORGET TO USE TESCO POINTS (1/3 of the price).

Take a look at 4.4
All the terms and conditions say it, also it's in the name..two together
Do you physically need the card at hand to use the discount or can you show that you have bought it and it's being delivered and still use the railcard?
Aaaaarrrrggghhhh I only renewed mine less than a week ago!

Good deal though for those looking to save some money on train fares.

Although you would save the cost of the second card, just be aware that the time restrictions are slightly different for the two cards.
The Two-Together card doesn't allow you to travel before 9.30am Monday to Friday. The Senior Railcard does, unless you are travelling between two stations in London and the South-East Area.
Requirement that you must travel together means this is a no-go for us. Greedy b*stards

No, but they do Coachcards for the over 60's, 16-26's and disabled which give a similar discount.

You could opt to have digital card on phone (I use that) then you have immediate access to discount
