The title says ru but the description is correct at nu. These are 2018 ex display models by the looks of things. They have likely got a fair amount of ware on them already so I'm not sure a warranty no matter how long will help if its breaks due to ware
Your title says the RU8000, this is the older NU8000 I believe.

I’ve had this TV for a few years, paid £899. It’s a good TV but personally wish I went for an OLED. Heat at this price

Thanks that’s what make me confuse as well. I want one but better go for a brand new.
The NU8000 is much better than the RU8000, and significantly better than the new TU8000 which has been downgraded so much it's basically an entry level set.

Alright for the price, but it's probably heavily used.
Dunno why Samsung keep downgrading them, the KS7000 is still better than all these and it was better than the equivalents for a couple years after. I reckon Samsung realised they messed up when everyone bought that TV instead of the higher end ones.

A cheap B9 is probably your best buy now though as it has Gaync support.
Looking for a 55" TV around £500, would this be a good shout?

I have the 49" version of this TV (which is inferior to this) and I've been thoroughly impressed with it. I had a mid-end Hisense TV prior to it which I ended up hating because of persistent, unfixable firmware bugs (over the course of around six months). After I eventually returned that and got a refund, I bought this and I've thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sold out now by the looks of it
