Indeed. Although I think the iPad Pro is more finicky in what works with it from what I've read.
I'd sooner go for something like this: ugreen.com.cn/pro…hub
I went looking for this product on their website I didn't see it - maybe discontinued? I note it doesn't say 2019 mac compatible.

My Anker one. iOS13 supports usb sticks / hard drives and SD cards etc which is working well for me with drone footage.

Anker products seem to be pretty good in my experience. It maybe the HDMI our that is less likely to work? Not sure.
Cheap/unbranded USB-C hubs like this have a poor track record for reliability, but at least Amazon have a good return policy.
For £6 more, I’ve been considering this one for a while. Loads of poz reviews and Ethernet is a bonus. Currently has a 10% voucher bringing it down to £26

MacBook 12" only has one USB-C port and this particular adapter uses two USB-C ports (on a MacBook Pro). So it's not compatible, unfortunately.

Can’t comment on quality, don’t have one but this one should work with 12” MacBook. It has a single USB C.

On another note, I wouldn’t recommend this type of adapter for single ports due to the sturdiness of having one port supporting the adapter. You’re safer buying a USB C ‘cabled adapter.
I remember when I Superpeed.

UGreen is Chinese sure, so is Anker.
Nevertheless they both sell quality products, any cables, dongles, hdmi splitter I needed in the past I bought almost exclusively from UGreen’s AliExpress store and never failed.

Not wasted. Just tailored for a specific product.

Hi, there, the USB-C Hub with the 2 plugs is indeed designed for the Macbook only. If you are looking for the USB-C Hub with more flexibility, it's available here on Amazon and fully support the 2019 Macbook pro amazon.co.uk/dp/…6M8

Check amazon, there are loads of Chinese adapter cables. You won't find any western name brands making them though as apple would sue, they do not allow third parties to use magsafe 2.

the Macbook pro 2014 has the mag-safe power adapter, the USB-C will not able to power your laptop for you.
would this fit snug on a Mac with an hard case on it?

Hi, we suggest you to purchase the hub with short cable when you have a case for your MBP
I doubt this can do 60hz at 4K, which makes it very misleading.
After you pay over 1000 pounds on a laptop, you need to spend more to get an adapter to plug in your mouse and your phone at the same time....
I guess this is what you get for being a fan of the apple.

If you pay £1000 for a laptop, you can probably afford a bluetooth mouse.

Having said that, I've got multiple dongles hanging off my MBP. This one wouldn't work for me as it only supports a single HDMI, and I have dual monitors connected. Suppose you could probably connect a further dongle to the USB-C with a second HDMI adapter.

That's exactly why they are selling you overpriced laptops with low specs.

Eh? What is? Not that I paid for mine, TBH much as I like most Apple kit, I'd prefer Windows for my main PC.

I thought you paid for yours.
I would not pay those money to spend more for things that should come standard at that price.

I had this problem with my snap on case, there was a gap in the connection which made me very uncomfortable to keep using it. Also, tested the speeds of the type c ports and they are very slow compared to the ones on the MacBook itself.
This is still being sold for £39.99... can't see this deal ?

that's exactly what I'm thinking. Takes up two ports as well. Good price, but not for me
What if I don’t have a MacBook? So confused.
