parcel2go is now £3.59 for upto 20kg, that looks to be standard price. This probably wont last long

P2G is a horrible company, i keep well away.

How easy are these things to use?

Inpost are a joke! Used them once and never again.Lost my parcel and told me it had been collected and was going to be delivered the next day several times!!
avoid!

P2G and interparcel both use inpost, all p2g do is take payment and send order details to inpost. Its inpost that you have issue with

I have just tried this site for a parcel 3.5kg ,, absolute waste of time, I would like to know what £2.39 for 5kg refers to, an example would be useful

I dunno, have you seen the thread about P2G's billing in misc?

just useless isn't it? my parcels were collected from locker on 27th, still in the transit. plus too many people in the loop. parcel2go -> in post > city link.

don't waste your time.

Avoid Inpost. I've had at least 10 parcels go missing and broken and have actually witnessed the courier collecting them from the locker and literally throwing them into the van. As such I have dealt with parcel2go customer services on their live chat several times,as I booked through them and they are extremely helpful. Inpost may be cheap but I'm now out of pocket having to replace items and repay for another courier and I don't know how successful my claim for compensation will be. Be warned!

I would avoid this company like the proverbial plague have used twice both times a complete nightmare....be warned cheap for a reason.

I have had nothing but success with InPost using Interparcel and this is cheap. Tried it through parcel2go as they had an offer a couple of weeks ago and had issues. The customer service was shocking to be fair - you try getting a phone number for them... get fobbed off

also they wont let honest reviews get posted on review sites and they clean up their facebook - rather see honesty and read issues than see what is a near perfect service - lets face it these comparison sites use the same couriers and the same services so how come they never get problems? hmmmmmmmmm

Heh, wish I could wait in line at the post office. The local one here decided they weren't taking any parcels from us anymore because we print all our labels out on PayPal - they actually told us that dealing with it held them up from serving genuine customers when we were the only people in the shop!

Complained to the Royal Mail about it, who had a word with them and told them that they are contractually obliged to accept them - so the next time we went in they banned us.

If you go for the cheapest option, you really can't start whining when it all goes horribly wrong. I've sent bazillions of parcels with RM and PF and only had 2 go awry which sorted themselves pretty quick.

Is InPost a good employer, then?

Do not recommend Inpost at all. I used them for the first time last month (August 12th) - and my parcel is STILL waiting to be picked up!!! It is now September 4th. I recommend Hermes. Never had a problem with them at all....

Its an ok service better than royal mail who are more expensive and also try to avoid paying out compensation everytime!

2 Claims and 2 were paid promptly in days!

Give me a like if you have tried to claim from royal mail and failed before!

Yeah that's right I work for InPost, pay me millions everyday .........you work for Royal Mail then????????

Agree totally with what Kingstonknight has to say. Parcel2Go print only favourable reviews on their site and are hopeless at sorting out problems. Find a decent courier you are happy with then deal with them direct is my suggestion.

Good price, awful service. Take a look at InPost's facebook page to see how bad they are. I wouldn't risk anything with them after the service I had. My parcel was in the locker for 2 weeks then suddenly disappeared from the system.

Parcel2Go are a flipping nightmare to deal with, their customer 'support' team are completely over whelmed.

InPost rarely bother to collect the parcels from the locker, some seem to do it weekly. If you need to speak to their customer services, you always get the same guy who just lies to get you off the phone.

City-Link are the only half-decent part of the chain, shame it's so pricey to deal direct with them.

BTW if anyone is having issues with P2G, they tend to listen when you moan to them on Facebook.

You are lucky - I never, ever use RM or PF now as too many things went missing. Large and distictive packages which must be somewhere but never did turn up. Also, I sent a box of Playstation games to an address about 10 miles away.. Posted 4th of the month, arrived 31st. I could have crawled faster!
I always use Interparcel now and usually use the UPS service. No probs at all.

I don't know why people keep saying they won't use P2g. People moan about everything. I'm a regular ebay seller n use Hermes through P2g n sent about 100 items each month. So far no problem n able to get in touch with customer service through online chat easily. Bloody don't listen to those Negative comments. I'm sure anything will have problem but this P2g is like less than 5%

I've used them once and they delivered my parcel quickly. Time to sell my royal mail shares.

I have used P2G a lot and theyve been fine Inpost are the problem. Lost 4 out of 6 items I sent. Took 4 days for them even to be collected. Never again!

Have had no problems with P2G or Inpost. Sent about 40 items. Easier than queuing at the Post Office.

I've used Inpost and it is soooooooooooooooooo bad!
I scanned my item and the locker opened BUT THERE WAS ALREADY A PACKAGE IN THE LOCKER!!!
So I closed the locker (I could've just taken that package!).
I then tried to scan my item again and it wouldn't work. So I created a new shipment, went back to the locker, scanned my item, the locker door opened AND AGAIN THERE WAS ALREADY A PACKAGE IN THAT LOCKER TOO!!
I figured Inpost must be based on trust, so I added my my package to that locker too.

MY PACKAGE NEVER ARRIVED AT IT'S DESTINATION!

Contacted Inpost and they said it was lost....... no explanation at all. They said contact P2G to claimb compensation.

P2G claim HAS BEEN PAID UP TO £50 AS I STUPIDLY DID NOT TAKE OUT FULL COMPENSATION. So I was £48 out of pocket.

Lesson learnt, NEVER USE INPOST AGAIN

I used this for all my eBay selling when it was through p2g at £1+ vat and a few times since its gone up, not a single issue. Out of over 30 parcels sent all but 1 delivered within 3 working days and the other took a week.
I find Hermes are cheaper for some of my items now but use in post as and when it comes up cheaper.
Even though its gone up its still a decent price so heat added.

other side of the coin have used inpost twice in the last few weeks and been a success both times ? just lucky i suppose

I've find the same. Parcel2go customer service was poor for me but interparcel and inpost have been good for me.

It's a shame to read all of the bad feedback on Inpost as the price is good!
I use Collect Plus who seem to be pretty reliable and really easy to use.

Collect+ is run by Yodel, who are another courier that are best avoided. Having said that, I've sent Amazon and Chain reaction cycles stuff back using Collect+ and it went OK. Personally for more expensive items I use DPD/Interlink Express, I like their parcel tracking too. Voting hot as the price is good if your item makes it in one piece to its destination.

I have used p2g about 10 times and have 1 parcel lost so far. the most weird thing is once you drop the parcel print a receipt from the inpost kiosk and then when you try to track on inpost website on the day of drop it says customer stored and once the parcel is collected from the locker by delivery van I can't track using the same reference number it say not found... when I called city link they say the reference has changed...weird how they work....

I have sent over 100 in the last month no problems at all with inpost.

I have been using MyHermes for 3 years and over that time I have sent over 400 parcels..I have not lost a single parcel.

I have hundreds of Ebay buyers who have commented on the speed of delivery and to top it all they are not expensive.

I have hardly ever used the signature on delivery £1.00 and still very happy to say once again never lost a parcel.

I realsie that there will be people in various parts of the country who have lost parcels but that has to be down to the employed operators delivery people not the company......Dont forget Royal Mail lose milliions of letters and parcels every year, I wonder where they all turn up??

fully agree. i have sent over a thousand parcels, and would estimate 90% of them were using my hermes parcelshop via p2g. never a single issue!

Love parcel2go they are great

Count yourself one of the lucky ones then!!
