Got one of these last year in the sales, price now lowest ever, other colours are still £56-58 and selling, so thought the Black one represented great value @£26.95

Amazing reviews [if you like that sort of thing] and the battery on these
is one of the best as far as not having to charge it every few hours..

Yes ;-)

Moved onto SB speaker now, but this was one of the best battery powered have used
for the money.

It has a richer than what you would expect mid range, very similar to switching from a
normal dolby a to b on a media setup..

The bass was very punchy and at the time, only the Roar and Axx we have were better
for all round sound. Tried it on a few "hotel" TV's while travelling a lot and it was great
to use as an a beach deezer/radio from android speaker, down to the battery lasting..

good find, just ordered for my sons bday in a few months. got great reviews everywhere..

How does this compare to the anker unit, that is said to be close to the bose mini?

Can something like this be put into different rooms in a house to play the same track on all of them?

Do read the 1 star reviews just to get a balanced view.

Thanks for the info, will invest

This looks similar except it says it lasts for a little longer.

Looks identical to me.

Looks identical to me.

They do look identical, just wondering if its worth paying the extra for the extra usage hours.

Yes looks the same, the description for both say "up to 20 hours" but in the 1 linked to on here under the "From the manufacturer" says "up to 15 hours"

Which one would be better this or Anker portable speakers? Which is slightly cheaper at £23
amazon.co.uk/gp/…HLX

Cheers op - I have gone for one of these as the Jam Classic one I bought last year in a rush whilst on holidays for £20 isn't loud enough in our old VW so hopefully this will be.

I like the TDK Trek range , they sport an active subwoofer,
I've had the A33 model a while , looking to get the A34 when the price drops

Impressive numbers, HOT!

Having had one, and returned it, I can assure you the Anker isn't close to the Bose Mini. At least not in my opinion anyway.

Price increased now £29.95 and available direct from Azatom

Is there anything better than this for not much more ?

Ive got some amazon credit to use.

Hot! Purchased even at the £29.95 it currently sits at for that price it sounds and looks like an amazing bit of kit. Exactly what I'm after. Thanks op

Heat added, sounds good, but what on earth is a passive subwoofer in an active speaker? Do they mean it's just a bandpass port that's been covered with a cone, if so, why? Wouldn't it make more sense to have an active woofer or leave it as a bandpass port?

Heat added and ordered at £29.95

Thanks just ordered!

For £30 I'm willing to give it a punt. Ordered. Thanks OP.

No Punt needed!

You will be very pleased with the quality of this speaker, surprised
that there is still any stock at this price! Putting it up against a roar at the weekend
so side by side exercise to see it handles a geek test! The one we had according
to the R&D at Aza has had a few internal components updated since the launch
one.. so be interesting to see how it is, had it on a normal amazon delivery to see
how long it takes as normally use Prime ;-)

Picked up mine from Amazon locker - just charging it now - have a few different portable speakers in the house so will be interesting to compare.

Same reasoning here Paul!

Be interesting from a "if they come up this cheap again on hukd and i wish i had purchased one" point
of view for anyone that has not managed to get one yet ;-)

Listening to some music on it now - tried a variety from Kanye to Rammstein to Beyoncé to Jay Z - I have a Sony X2 so comparable in size and power. First impression is that it is much more powerful and stronger than the Sony - decent all round sound for such a small package - downside is that seems to have a constant blue flashing light on the front so not suitable for bedroom with light off unless you cover it with something - at £26 odd a no brainer for the overall quality.

Only my opinion, but received it on Saturday, listened to it for a a few hours, and personally found the sound to be loud but very much lacking in bass. Overall quite 'tinny' sound. However for the price it's clearly a bargain, but I personally prefer to pay more and get better sound. Just some feedback.

the TDK a33 or A34 , if you cna find cheap are the best bang for buck .
I got my last A33 from the US , they have an active subwoofer which makes for all the difference in sound for a small enclosure without breaking the bank for bose & beats boxes. yeah defo looking to get the newer A34 with the full controls when price drops

Seems to still be £29.95 on Amazon, why is this so much better? Cheers

I have just bought a Sony SRS-X3 blutooth speaker which has a 10 watt output, but this would have done me for what I wanted. aaagh!

Just been looking at this one as well:

Which one tho'?

I flubitted this and bought it for £23.09. I'm listening to Metallica now, and it sounds pretty good for what it is.
