Yes and after 6 months you pay only half of total prime charge. 😊

And whats your point? Some people might not have heard of it. i didn't know of it until now. Why are some people so negative. Thanks OP. Heat added.

Not just university, anyone with an email address that ends in .ac.uk can get it. I work at a college and got it no problem, although on my 4th year renewal recently they wanted proof I studied here.

Perhaps there should be a 'reminder' section for these types of offers? I.e. offers which are always going on but people may not be aware of.

BTW, I would look around for different student offers, for example, I got VMware and Windows for free through my uni.

I ended up just emailing them a scan of my NUS extra card.

Had to contact them though since the website didn't work on my system.
Hi Guys,

Thank you for your comments. Yes after the 6 months you still only pay half the price of normal Amazon Prime! I was just posting the deal as I recently only found out about this deal myself and have found it very useful.

Hope you find it as useful as I have as I didn't realise how much entertainment you get access to before my trail.

Thanks Again
Thanks for sharing A lot of people will already know about this, but that doesn't devalue the post in the slightest, as there will equally be those that don't. It's a great little reminder and I've popped a little heat on the gauge.

Thanks again for sharing, and welcome to the mad house HUKD
What’s the cheapest college course avail that would get me a ac.uk email?
I’m not a student but my taxes pay for their lounging about

You don't need an ac.uk email address. On the Amazon Student sign up page there is an option to provide information via upload, in which case you can just upload a scan of an NUS card
I'm in my 2nd year as a NUS student with Amazon prime what happens after the 3rd year do you just renew it or is that it no more student prime
I'm on the "student" Prime offer as well, because I work at a Uni and therefore have a ".ac.uk" email. Think the maximum length was 4 or 5 years so I've got it half price for another couple of years. After that, I should be able to use an alternate version of my work email so I can sign up again

It'll just go back to full price, so you'll need to cancel it if you don't want this to happen.

I think you are allowed 4 years in a row. I am on my second. No additional proof needed as yet.

An English or Maths GCSE or functional skills course at your local college. They're free if you don't have the qualifications over a C grade, or if you are an older student who needs to brush up.

“Lounging about”. At least half of the amount of college students have a job, and trying to get top grades requires anything but lounging about.

You're correct, Amazon prime support's you as Amazon prime for a maximum of 4 Year's straight!.

I remember reading such on Amazon's website (Student tab/section - top right), at some point last Year ...

It's definitely a 4 Year's max window.

But may be worth you reading/clarifying that for yourself also?. :-)
IT'S REALLY HOT IN HERE.

Students getting current potential debts easily in the region of very realistically £30k-£40k+? (and counting ... )

So for those genuine Students out there, if they're able to save so much as even 5p?, then that's potentially 5p more then that of what they might otherwise have had hidden in their pockets, etc? (that hardly seems like mollycoddling to me?).

It's almost saying, because Council Tax goes into thing's like paying for the roads, you're therefore not going to bother paying it? (simply because you don't drive?).

Whether that argument would inevitably be deemed as justifiable to absolve you from that payment or not is beside the point (because one way or another, someone has to do it?).

Not everyone out there is born with a silver spoon in their mouths? - where they can literally pick and choose for the best of their lives whether to go to Study Today, then also literally change their minds just as quickly, by then deciding not to bother again with any form of Education come Tomorrow (and know they'll still be silver spoon fed for the rest of their natural lives regardless ... )

Etc etc etc?.

That's one of those otherwise sad realities of life I guess?.

Everyone's path is different basically? (that's all I'm saying, lol). :-)

So there are exceptions ? Of course there are. But the exceptions are NOT the majority, and that should be obvious.
My opinion is admittedly coloured by actual discussions with them. There lack of knowledge of what they lecture us with is eye opening.General politics.
And the women are even worse.
I broke my leg, it was misdiagnosed by a "doctor" at a local hospital. It was eventually discovered too late, and I had been using a crutch. I had went out with friends using an elbow crutch the first time I had got out in months. The Free Trade. The pub was packed out with students. I tried to get past tapping shoulders and saying "Excuse me" they weren't making any effort to move - my mate ahead just stood on the back of their heels if they didn't move - not my style. I tapped this bottle blonde student cow - and she screamed, glared at me and looked to her friends for support. All for affect. Misandrist cow - I was in a rage. My mates got me out, laughing at my anger and embarrassment. My already low opinion of them went sub cesspit level.
And has never recovered from dealing with them since
