Superb game. I found it hard going at the beginning as it's difficult at times, but as the story develops and you level up really is so much fun. Yet to do anything online, the campaigns are both great

I hear the Zombies enjoy that.

Think I’m gonna puke (fierce)

VR compatible too.

If you dont have this game already, at this price, it's a steal. Truly amazing game that with this edition comes with a second campaign to play through.

Vsync doesn't hurt performance. Your game isn't 'running fine' now, you will still get the same dips as before. 'Recommended specs' has also never meant you can get a perfectly consistent 60fps. I'm not sure where you got that idea. And PUBG is a different game with different demands. It means nothing for AC Origins. Lastly, YOU are the one who started with the condescending tone here to my response. You say you dont need any lessons, but you clearly dont understand this stuff half as well as you think you do. I'm not trying to be 'condescending' here, I've just been explaining how things actually work and *your* constant condescension in response has been the only unnecessary thing here.

I know who he is. I've seen all the discussion around it. He doesn't actually *know* anything about any performance detriment. He can only speculate. He's also got a motive here as well. If this game is being hurt notably in performance by DRM, then the underlying code must be some of the greatest ever, cuz it already runs quite impressively for what you get.

Lol at criminals calling Ubisoft's protection of their hand work anti consumerism.

That guy (voksi) is well known in the PC games hacking community, so he knows more than anyone on this forum about what the game protection does. More info here FYI - the game has been cracked in the meantime, so this dual copy protection is not required any longer and Ubisoft should just remove it...

Yes yes and yes. Though uplay does suck, this game is great. I'm a total far cry fanboy though, you should know. Though a steam key is usually preferable, either way you'll need a uplay account for this game as it is very strict with its DRM stuff. Like I bought it on Steam on release, and it more or less launches using UPlay still

Now £8.49 in a flash sale for roughly the next 21 hours (at time of posting).

I'm not much of a gamer, and I completed it in only a few hours. Its handling of save files is also a bit buggy, which can cause you to have to lose progress, which is frustrating.

Oh lol, i want developers to get money too. Thing is, this game was included in humble bundle march and people who bought it for different games are selling/trading this one cos they dont need it. Its not like somebody stole anything from developers...

Although we all like a deal and to get things for as low a cost as possible, some people might want the developers to get some money (cheeky)

Because that price is around for a month or so, and also its on the portal we cant speak about.

Cheaper here with a free game!

I got when cheap... It's ok. I really like the structure with the between act video etc, but the game itself is too linear to be engaging which kind of ruined it for me.

They should of added some sort of multiplayer which lets you use time powers. That would probably of been good, the game has no replay value I don't think it's worth £13.99 It's been cheaper

Play once and forget type of game. Not nearly as good looking or as good as it should have been.

NO HDR though, for me not that impressed, it could look better

I hadn't actually seen the Legendary Version, so thanks for letting it be known it's there!! Definitely a good price!

£17.99 isn't too bad for the legendary edition too, with the extra modes and all of the team packs

I paid 6 quid for this in the steam sale. I think it's definitely worth the price for the fun it provides!

Be prepared for a bit of a shock! Some of the missions are brutally hard. I wonder how I ever completed it as a kid, with my low fps & wonky joystick; perhaps I wasn't such a completionist back then

I bought this yesterday, I think it was on a flash sale over 48 hours. While on hotukdeals today I checked and was surprised this hadn't been posted on here. Anyway the deal is still available for the next 18 hours. I played X-Wing and Tie-Fighter back in the early 90's when I bought my first PC, so I'll be looking forward to playing these through once again and the other games in the collection. (y)

Got it on release for 20 quid on Steam. Performance is great and support for 21:9 is amazing in game. I'd say majority of those reviews are complaining about the mediocre online matchmaking which is better than previous years but still lacking. I'd say the other half are those complaining about MyClub 'scripting' and cheating online. If you want a game just for a single player I'd recommend this as you can pretty much add in your own kits or even get Data Packs which can be used to install all the licences so there wouldn't be no fake names and all correct kits. There are also easy to install patches out there which allow you to change the score bar etc in-game akin to the way FIFA's PL career modes do so.

I got bored of this pretty quickly, Early turns are different but so many limitation in other respects. AI war. Crippling unhappiness meaning you can't capture 3-4 of one AI's cities. Sure for this price maybe fun to try. I guess the warmonger in me was too eager to capture cities. I also found once you clear the Ai army it's almost a stroll to take out all their cities. Oh wait you can't raze them due to unhappiness created by this. So frustrating! Maybe I missed something here. I got more fun out of Civ 4 and Homms 3.

Most people figure that out pretty quickly. It would genuinely be a great game if it had decent AI but the devs just concentrate on silly stuff life cartoon graphics which doesn't enhance the gameplay at all.

The computer AI is really dumb. The computer player could be on the verge of completely wiping you out, you propose peace, and they suddenly agree! As for the rest of the game, once you realise that all you have to do is avoid war (ie not encroach into territories) and then get bombers / nukes, it's game over for all the computer player(s). The AI is stupidly simplistic and hasn't improved either with Civ 6.

It's a good game - have spent many hours on it - but at the end of the day what really lets it down is the AI. It's just so easy to win even on the hardest difficulty level. The developers simply don't seem to know how to program good, intelligent AI responses the computer player(s).

Enjoyed this, but the ending boss fights where super disappointing. You spend all this time levelling up and getting stronger with new abilities, and it’s irrelevant at the end as you just press a few button prompts on screen and it’s done. Took the game from great to forgettable for me and has stopped me bothering with the new one.

Excellent deal. Purchase + heat 8) .
