5.5" 'all screen', 1280 x 720It will be like looking at Lego

That's the comment I was expecting to be first, not the "pure Android" one

I might be simply too old for not being able to see the difference between 720 and 1080 on a 5.5 inch screen but I'm sure it's not only me who don't care about it that much. I guess the battery drainage on 720 will be far smaller as the CPU/GPU doesn't have to deal with the extra pixels all the time.

Agree. I am sure many of us remember this resolution in 17" LCD computer screens...it's crazy to say that pixels size will be too big on that small screen.

This has always dumbfounded me, most TVs are 1080p and 32in+ and no one bats an eye lid and then added into that most people don't even bother watching in or will pay for HD so once again resolution reduced but won't accept anything less than 1080p on their phone? its a strange one

In any case its worth mentioning I guess.

How "pure" is that OS i wonder.

That's a beautiful looking phone and it means all the requirements I usually look for, aside from not being able to find what the fps of video capture is.

Wonder what Mali T860MP2 GPU is like. Could that be the weak point?

Wow!! Elefunk are desperate to make people believe that they're getting something similar to a galaxy S8 with that marketing photo...

Shouldn't that be Ulefunk?

?????
How close do you hold your phone to your eyes to actually notice?

Advertisers dream me thinks.

The main camera uses a Sony IMX258 sensor (the f/2.2 variant), which many other phones use, so was able to find it probably does video at 1080p@30fps & 720p@120fps.

Nice!

Is ulefone riddled with adware like Leagoo and doogee or is this a 'respectable' brand like Xiaomi. Notice the quotations

Not at all, I wouldn't take issue if they had used a bog standard screen shape, it's the con of making it look like a 'sea of display', but having about 10 pixels!

It looks too good to be true .....what's the catch?

Surely a Moto g4 is worth the extra 40 quid.
Who needs 4 GB ram

Perhaps this is similar for those wanting a slightly higher res screen?

No idea how the different processor compares though.

Does this have NFC? I've looked at the specs, but I can't see it.

Weak chipset, low res but still fine. China, will break after a month.

If you cant see it then it most likely doesn't. Most of these cheap Chinese phones leave it out for some reason

What are you expecting for £105? An iPhone X? I'd like to see you make a better phone for £105!

The Vernee Mix 2 looks a better buy. NFC and better camera.

I have a similar opinion in that anything above 1080p isn't really noticeable to me. However I do think 720p on a 5.5" display isn't great and you will see pixels. Not sure why you'd compare it to TV resolutions though, you're not holding your TV a couple feet away from your eyes so of course the difference will not be discernible as it would with a phone.

No, I wouldn't buy a £100 phone, I always run a current flagship. I am simply underlining the 'con' with this phone.

I appreciate that, but there are more sensible phones available at this kind of price, the screen on this is plain silly.
