Spec includes "4G: FDD-LTE 800..." which = B20.

Very tempted to buy this.. don't know anything about this company or phone but that battery will last for days
Nearly bought one of these once, but the screen size and fugly UI put me off. Seems like a decent price, from what I remember.

Battery seems a beast
I think Gearbest should stop calling 5.5" phones "Phablets" since I think that term was last useful when Android KitKat was the next big thing...

But I also think this is a good deal if a big battery is high on your list.
Ulefone Power 1 owner here. Can't speak for this new model but my Power 1 has the same size battery and lasts 2 days of decent use, maybe longer if you're using it sparingly. While the battery is massive, I get the feeling it's not the most efficient. That said, it's been a really solid reliable phone. My other half has a power 1 too and loves it but hers developed a touchscreen issue just after 12 months of ownership. I'm really chuffed with mine, very useful for satnav use due to the battery. Camera is pretty average though. This may have been addressed in the power 2 but I don't know.
Like the battery and front fingerprint scanner. Dislike the mediatek processor
Hope the phone works better than the link.....:(
Another Power 1 owner here. Had for about 6 months. Battery was principle reason for purchase and still continues to deliver. Previous post mentioned UI, I'm just running Nova Launcher and it's fine. Agree camera not as good as some but overall package is superb especially for this price. Currently on Amazon for just under £170 if wanted next day delivery.
Based on experience of my current Ulefone I'll happily go for the Power 2 when this eventually packs in.

Ulefone are one of the big usual Chinese phone manufacturers. They're in there with Doogee, Homtom, Cubot, etc, but not as good as Xiaomi
My experience of MTK has been fast enough phones but poor BT,GPS and Wifi either disconnecting or way off in GPS.
Can't beat my Mi5 s... paid £185 from gearbest a couple of weeks ago, what a phone!!! And it had latest Android + Google play pre-installed. I also have an s6 (workphone) but from now on I'm going Chinese!
Power 1 user here, very good phones as others have said. Would never go back to a "1 day max" phone now. Mines 18 months old and apart from the touchscreen issue (hopefully fixed in this) has never missed a beat.
This phone will be heavy!!!

5000mah battery is pretty weighty so 6000mah is gonna feel a bit in the pocket

Mi5s does not come with B20 UK / EU band . So you will not even get a good signal in UK compared with this phone. Keep on living in a fools paradise.
My Power 1 was brilliant but a bit heavy. I'd expect Power 2 to be impressive also.

I ended up going for the Vernee Mars Pro (see older deal) which has also been excellent in a few weeks of use.
Does anybody have experience of how Gearbest process purchases via credit card? Do they use a payment intermediary and what company name(s) appear on credit card statement? Thanks.

The Mi5 Plus and Mi6 don't support Band 20 either - seems Xiaomi are missing a trick a bit for the UK and slipping behind their competitors when it comes to the phone aspect of the product!
Seems to be either you can get Band 20 or you can get NFC at the moment on the sub-£200 ranges, but few have both at that price? Are getting an awful lot else for the money though!

Lots of people here are happily receiving 4G signal without B20 (800MHz).

I don't think that means band 20 as there are other bands that use 800Mhz, band 27 I think

It's so ambiguous though, bit of a risk isn't it? I'm still not sure either way
Humm... so why do I get full signal on Vodafone? Over 20mb of internet speed? Plenty enough for my use! But I must be a fool...

Sorry mate, never used cc with gearbest... I always use PayPal. All I can say if that I ordered many items on Gearbest, from phones to cameras to accessories etc. And never once had an issue. Delivery can be long, but my last experience with the Mi5 was good, got it within a couple of weeks. And never paid import tax either.

Vodafone also use Band 7 (2600MHz) which the Mi5s does support, but that isn't used by all networks (O2, Tesco Mobile and Giffgaff in particular) - the lack of Band 20 unlock for Europe with Xiaomi is more surprising because of it being a standard as the EU Digital Dividend though! It is understandable in China where it is reserved, but with its competitors having Band 20 unlock internationally it seems odd that Xiaomi would elect not to compete on that front?

After much deliberation I've just bought this. Big battery and RAM was the seller which were big points for me. Lets hope upgrades, security and support match up.

I'll keep you posted.
Yet another power 1 owner. Mine got the same touchscreen issue after four months. Suspect it may have been linked to the considerable heat generated from the monster battery while fast charging. Ace phone in all other respects. Gearbest wanted me to return it tracked at a cost of £35 otherwise they would credit me with $20 to my gearbest wallet. Not dissing this deal but just be aware.

Don't rely on that lazy site - they have another article where they point out that o2 now have some non-band 20 4G (think it was 1800MHz bought from EE in some mergers horse trading). If they know this they should update the article linked that appears to be a go to reference! EDIT 4g.co.uk/new…4g/

For anyone looking at a non-band 20 phone, think carefully - there is a strong possibility that one of the providers will rely on it in some locations (maybe not today, but in the lifetime of a phone) - it is luck of the draw whether you happen to need a signal in that area. Don't forget that 3G does me fine doesn't necessarily mean 3G will continue to do me fine - any provider could decommission/reconfigure any mast at any time - the 3G mast that serves you well could disappear to be covered by a band 20 mast or even become one!

I think of it as not an absolute necessity, but something very worth having, not least as we can't check how necessary it is. You will find areas on every network where data is faster on a band 20 phone, just no one tells us how common it is!

This is still available at this price, not sure why expired. Any concerns over the international version? I'll hopefully be buying today.
I've just ordered one @ £121.
That's the quickest a phone has arrived from China, 2 weeks today including a small delay before posting.

What a beast of a phone. I've only been using it for a few hours. Battery came almost fully charged and I'm still at 70% with almost constant use. Seems very nippy and responsive, no screen issues. My only complaint is the onscreen buttons which are mapped different to every other phone I've used. Everything seems to be working just fine, call quality is good, bluetooth picks up OK. It's marginally bigger/ heavier than my Elephone which was one of the negatives I read, so I won't notice any difference.

I'm sure I'll find some quirks, I have in every other phone I've used from China but build quality seems solid. It comes with a screen protector and case but this has gorilla glass anyway, another big seller for me.

Camera seems fine although tbf I won't be using it much.

If I discover any flaws I'll post them.

Edit1: The finger print works very well, sometimes too well. It works without having to press any buttons (unlike my Elephone P8000.) I had the phone in my back pocket and it kept trying to connect. I had to move the phone to my front pocket, no big deal.

Edit 2: I'm now using this phone for a few weeks and I've got used to the screen layout. Battery is brilliant (my main reason for buying), easily over a day with heavy use and 2 days medium use. The finger print issue is not an issue, just an observation and is no bother at all. Really happy with this purchase.

Hi,

Thanks for your updates, very much useful.

I have seen a few video reviews and you can change the bottom button layout to what ever you want under settings (change left back button to the right hand side etc). Just ordered this phone as a replacement to my Redmi Note 3 (3gb/32gb) as the bluetooth has become faulty (I've dropped it a few time since I got it in April 2016, has gone through 3 screen protectors (need bluetooth for my handsfree in car).

I bought the Ulefone for $89.99 (£69.76) from Geekbuying but price has now shot up to $160+ before I could post on hukd. Seems like they had a glitch but will be honoring my purchase.

Did you have any OTA updates for your ulefone?

No, came running with Android 7.0 out of the box.

Didn't know how to customise the buttons so thanks but I've now got used to the layout. Having the buttons on the screen is a waste of screen space though, I'd prefer them alongside the finger print scanner.

One niggle I'm having is Bluetooth. I've a headset I use daily but I'm having to restart the phone to get it to connect each time. Other bluetooth devices like my fitness tracker connect just fine so it may be the headset. Never had this problem with my other phone though and the same headset.

Haven't charged the phone since yesterday morning and still at 56% and 1 day remaining.
