It comes with a real thermal camera from FLIR. A Lepton 3.5 sensor is built into the phone.
The thermal resolution is 160x120 pixels, it has a sensitivity of <50 milli Kelvin and a field of view of 57°. The measurement range is from -10°C to 400°C.
Similar thermal cameras (without the phone) usually cost over £200.
You can for example use the camera to detect faults in electronic devices for repairs (for example if a capacitor is shorted it will get hot).

sorted byThe Helio G99 chipset is equivalent to Snapdragon 680 in performance, around that level. Not as good as Snapdragon 695G. It has 12GB RAM (no one knows why) and 66W charging. It's £150 phone performance but the FLIR / 9600mAh extras help bump up the price due to their uniqueness in a phone.
It says 17GB RAM but it's definitely 12GB RAM + 5GB 'RAM' is actually from using the inbuilt storage. So disable that in the settings if possible as the memory management will be crap and it will lag with this feature enabled most likely.
Until my one started updating itself. It was getting very hot and you could not turn it off..
The next time it did it the phone was so hot, it bricked itself and has been a dead paper weight since.
Would be interested to hear if anyone else has had similar problems with them?
