Bought one today. But went for the refurbished at 79.00
Treasure Truck had this for £49.99 the other day. Yeah yeah, it's gone now (time machine) but I think it's because the Boom 2 is being replaced with the 'Blast' series.

All the same, doesn't detract much from the fact that it's still an excellent speaker. Probably not worth it vs. an original Boom though.
These are decent. Main selling point for me was being able to link a couple together for multi room music.
If you fancy one in a colour other than black or blue this is a good price. Black ones can go lower at times. Heat added.
Bought it from the Treasure Truck. It can go quite loud and that's it. Distortion above 75% and non-existant bass that sounds like you finger slightly tapping the desk instead of any beef in the sound.

Truly shocked at how poor an excellently reviewed speaker was. Have peoples ears stopped working?

Haven't got this one (yet) but try placing in the corner of the room?
It's a waterproof portable speaker. When outdoors there are no corners ! Still would not improve the non-existant bass and muddy soundstage

My guess was that most will use it more indoors - hence my suggestion.

You're wrong and you should try it. Some research into acoustics will help you understand.
Anyway, my advicd is don't jam it right in the corner, just a few inches away from the wall will probably be best but I suggest you play around and see what suits you.
Chances are it really will help the bass (not the muddiness you report unfortunately though)
Just in case it’s helpful for anyone, the black version is still at this price.

I’d take this off you for 50£ if you didn’t want it any more!
