However ... Still think my Bose Soundlink Colour sounds better ...

If there was a version of specsavers called earsavers - then you should have gone there...

Not 100% sure in terms of power but the Megaboom has a 20 hour battery compared to the flips 12 hour, and seems to be aimed more for music with louder bass, whereas the flip mentions crystal clear call functionality, so depends what it will be used for

Yeah smaller speaker ...

Megaboom Lite (I have one) is the same speaker as the "standard" version but in a different box (less cardboard) and it comes with everything including charger. I paid £69.99 New on Amazon about six months ago. The Charcoal version. Speaker is fantastic. Wouldn't be without it. I also have a JBL Go and a JBL clip 2.

I'd love the newer version due to the speaker controls on the unit but sounds quality is the same so can't justify it.

You can pause the music (one tap on top) or skip a track (two taps) and volume control with +/- buttons. Tapping takes a but if getting used to but it's okay when you have a bit of experience

I have 3 MegaBooms .... The MegaBooms and the Bose both sound crap however compared to my LSX's ;-) I take it you have auditioned both the MegaBoom and the Bose in your own environment ? It's subjective. To my ears the Bose Sounds better if you have listened to both and think the MegaBoom sounds better then good luck to you :-)

Are you sure it's not a Boom 2 Lite, don't recall seeing a Megaboom Lite but I do recall a Boom 2 Lite for £60-70 at Amazon a few times.

JBL Flip is comparable to the Boom, the Megaboom is a much louder, larger, more powerful speaker.

2 of mine are the Lite Megabooms.
2 of these in stereo paired mode sound great.

I’ve just never seen a Megaboom Lite. It’s only the packaging that differs anyway I think, the actual speaker is identical to a ‘non-Lite’, it’s not cutdown like the name suggests.

No speaker is exactly the same :-)
Annoying thing about listings like these is all the Ultimate ears speakers look the same - so you can't tell from the image if it's a medium-sized speaker or the biggest one! Not voting on this -- I'd prefer to expand my Sonos system whenever their outdoor speakers get a price cut...
Seems to be several of these type around.I very recently bought one from Aldi called a Reka,i found it whilst search BT speakers on there site.Im not going to pretend im a sound geek but to me its genuinely a good sounding speaker with a reasonable base tone,£19.99 and a 3 year warranty.Perfect for me as it wont get used to much and i wont pay a kings ransom just to keep up with the Jones.Voting hot for the surround sound design, sorry not the price.

That’s fair enough if that’s all you need for your usage, but this will be miles apart from a £19.99 Aldi/Reka Bluetooth speaker, so can’t really be compared.
This is an much more powerful and larger speaker with loud bass and a long battery life for a speaker with this performance.

That’s the Boom 2 Lite which is the one I was thinking of. It’s a great speaker but a lot smaller and less powerful than the Megaboom. On its own it’s one of the best speakers I’ve ever used - very clear, crisp sound output without overpowering bass.

Many thanks for your help and views, much appreciated!
Purchased this last year for £35 from Amazon Warehouse. Absolutely fantastic speaker. I've heard they sound even better when connected to another one through party mode. I'll keep looking for another one. Highly recommended!

Yes I am 100% sure. Literally very very sure. As someone mentioned also warehouse were doing loads at about £35 for a while and I nearly got another but didn't need it. I got mine December 2019 and the RRP was less at about £189.99 so that now looks inflated.

How do you buy from Amazon Warehouse?

Go on the menu in the app, under ‘shop by department’ it says warehouse deals, but sometimes when your viewing a product, look at the ‘used’ items, some of these will be warehouse deals sold by amazon, like brand new products but with open/damaged boxes

If it was Amazon you bought it off it still appears to be out of stock (now £169.99), it’s a different seller who now has stock.
There is a used - like new currently available for £56 too
