£79 for the first 30 minutes then youll get a letter stating your charges with rise to £120,000,000 in two days time due to investment in infrastructure for new customers.
Would be great if the down voters outlined a better deal that's currently out there. This is a crazy deal for what you are getting. I have cancelled my Vodafone 30 quid a month 50GB SIM deal as I now have the U/L VM mobile SIM that is thrown in with this amazing package*, for instance. 2x V6 boxes (certainly stops arguments in our house!), just about every channel you could possibly want/need (Sky Atlantic only real omission), 500mb BB, phone line, 24/7 calls to landlines and mobiles. 12 MONTH CONTRACT unlike Sky (18 months min). all for a net 62 quid a month? Feel free to beat it.

* I got the increase email 10 months into my first 12 months with them, rang them and immediately got offered the ultimate Oomph package (i was on the existing 89 quid a month VIP package which is essentially the ultimate oomph without the 512mb BB and u/l data sim) for 85 quid a month. Of course, no cashback sweeteners etc but the free u/l sim has meant my net price for this package is 55 quid a month after cancelling my Voddy 50gb SIM. Unbeatable deal.

That's a really good deal when you consider the sim aswell
Im skeptical with vm with the broadband speeds. Do you really get 500MB. I'm on the 200MB and can't remember of 2 years of being with them ever getting anywhere near the 200

Good deal though. Heat from me

Ive been with them for the last 3 years and always have speeds higher than promised. Rural village in Leicestershire here and no problems.

Saw this this morning, I’ve been checking every day for a few weeks now. The last good deal was £89 a month, £150 bill credit and £230 cashback, works out £57 a month. This deal works out at £62 a month. They just need to include some bill credit and it’ll be the best deal I’ve seen. I spoke to VM and they said I can cancel up to 14 days after installation if they better the deal on actual Black Friday... tough one... it’s such a good deal, £57 or £62 it doesn’t really matter, but I like getting THE best deal it’s fun haha

Always 100 for me connected via Ethernet . Checked it different times of day ect and on a good day it's 100 but most of the time it's less than that. Must just be me

It does depend on the area, how many users are connected, I used to have problems with speed that got really bad so I left them, I've been back a few years now and on 500mb and I do get 500+mb all the time.
I had been with them for nearly 20 years.(blue yonder before they merged) This year I decided to leave and go to EE as they were charging me full whack for my internet when I had intermittent issues in my area since July and they told me it would be resolved around November time. Was absolutely fuming when I found out in September when I was down for two days. Joined EE as i found out I have gfast in my area. Not only is VM customer service bad but it's outsourced in India where they only think of you as a case number. I actually been quite patient with them for 3 years until this year got bad and enough was enough.
Doh, getting connected this Saturday. Would have been a nice saving.

You have a cooling off period. So ring them and ask if you can change to this offer or you will cancel and put a new offer through. Their choice.

Are your cables and devices 100Mb or 1000Mb (gigabit) because that could explain the slower than expected speeds.
Good deal have some heat, if if not got a Sky q deal I’d be all over this

I've always had full speed from them. I guess its area dependant but I've always opted for the top package and can confidently say they've always proved the advertised speed or more.

Again they do rise and rise and rise and rise!
They done the exact same deal for new customers a couple of months back only they chucked in a free 43" 4K Toshiba TV. I have it and its an amazing deal
The only Virgin product that I like is their radio

The worst things with virgin

CS is shockingly bad

Price rises at least once per year and not by small amounts.

I am currently on a rolling contract - have that confirmed when i moved my services and via text chat (which is the best way to deal with vm). - yet on my account it says im in a 12 month contract... makes no sense.

My discount ends in january but if there Re good offers around BF then im cancelling and signing up in a diff name.

You can. Which is why I'm amazed regulars on a bargain hunting site seem to think it's a bad thing. It really isn't, especially with the info we have at our disposal on here. You simply ring and tell them you are exercising your right to cancel (it even tells you can do this in the increase email) and wait for them to offer you a deal. Hardly rocket science.

Im on 350Mbps and get 380-400 all the time. I think a lot of it depends on how well subscribed the rest of the house nearby are....

My thoughts exactly. As soon as i saw the deal i signed up to it and then shared it on here thinking it would go mega hot as i cant see anything even near it in comparison.

Usually you have to go ahead with the threat to leave, in a week or so they will call you and ask what you want not to leave. Been like this for me for the last 3 years now. Its a pain but you have to go through it to get the best ongoing price.

My deal Isn't great now but it's not terrible
currently paying £57 for 350Mb, basic phone and Full House TV but coming to the end of that 12mth discount and no doubt I will have to go through the whole cancel process again next month to get another deal :-(

Voted hot as this is actually a very good deal if you want fast broadband

I see it like this (and my friends normally see the light when I explain it like this). The whole shebang should take an hour max (usually much less, my case took me approx 20 mins). In my case, the price of the VIP package I was on was due to rise from 89 to 129/mth. Ended up getting the even better ultimate oomph for 85/mth. a saving of 44 quid a month compared to simply not ringing up. that works out at 528 quid over the next 12 months of the contract.

In fact' it's way better than that because I got the free U/L sim thrown in which has let me cancel my Voddy 50GB 30/mth SIM, which is another 360 quid over the next 12 months. Total saving for ringing and threatening to cancel as opposed to just not doing anything apart from whingeing online? 888 quid! For 20 mins effort! Works out at 2664 quid an hour (5.5 million spondoolics a year based on a 40 hour/week)! Name me one job where you can keep your clothes on and make 2664 quid an hour

Been with Virgin since they started and Telewest before they took over,Horrible company they lie put the price up every year.Just had a row with them i started my latest contract in May then in September i got the letter saying it was going up,So i rang and said cancel the lot this happens every year,I was told don't worry yours is not going up .I recorded the conversation,Anyway next bill it had gone up i rang played the recording they didn't want to know,And too late to cancel without paying for the rest of 12 months.
If there was any other company could give me a decent bb i wouldn't touch Virgin with a bargpole.I told them i wanted to put a complaint in,Still heard nothing a month later.

Same issue here. I cancelled and they called me after a week and offered me the complete package without the sim for £78 a month for a year. I was going to accept that unless black friday brought a better deal, and it has already. So im moving out and the wife is moving in and has taken out this deal.
Wow I just bought this package without this discount and it cost £100/m
How does it work with cancelling? Reliant on broadband for work so can't have any down time if the bluff doesn't work. I'm paying £94 for full house and 200 internet. Been with them years and also have two sims. No other providers in the area offer speeds above 67.
Spookily I was looking at this offer, fuming as a current customer who has been with them for years, never get the same deal as new customers...

Then the phone rings, guy at the end offering me this deal for £93 p/m (currently on £89 for original Big Kahuna Bundle, Weekend Only Calls, 200mb Broadband, also have a Sim Only contract unlimited for £25

Said the Sim Only will also be credited £2 p/m

Told him To call me back tomorrow once I way up my options - my contract runs out in January,

THe kicker is i cannot claim the TCB £200 - that would have been nice, but i will see if he can drop it to the £79 p/m like the Newbies will be getting, also no install / upgrade fees

any thoughts or advice would be appreciated

Why cant you claim as a new customer? I have a friend who alternates his name every year. one year he is a new customer Mr John Smith, next year he cancels and hes another new customer called Mr Smith John.

Still passes the credit checks.

Another friend and his Mrs share the house. He has it for a year, and then he "moves out" and she moves in and takes a new contract. This friend got this package last year with an xbox one S and 2 games. His Mrs has signed up to this deal as he's moving out for a year.

When you cancel, you get an end of service date. Maybe 30 days from cancellation?

Just sign up for the new offer, choose self install and book it to start the day before your other contract ends. That way no lapse in service.
