They use EE/BT network not Vodafone, to be fair it’s been solid

Broadband download speed not bad either, was more happy they increased the upload

Personal opinion, no one can touch anywhere near this deal nor can it be matched separately. I know because I have this, tried to get Sky to match close before leaving with their highest speed internet and they couldn’t, and this includes their own channels. No brainier! As said earlier I got for £79 on Black Friday so don’t know what the cold votes are about. Heat from me
i noticed they keep upping the price of my package every couple of months so keep an eye on your bills i had to keep phoning them to put it back down

I think that’s the cold reason, was £79 during BF a month before that it was £89 with £150 bill credit and no install cost so wait for Jan sale and I’m sure they will do something similar

It really is a no brainer deal (if you want services)

Would you be able to tell us how you get them to put the price back down during a contract? I've only ever had control over my pricing when the contract is nearly over.

I did say it was a good deal but I’ve had too many problems with Virgin customer services, especially the phone and internet. They increased the bill every month for our internet and then they kept ignoring us when we wanted to cancel at the end of our contract. This happened august time and we only just have the money back. Also the phone service is poor, I hugely regret going on such a rubbish network. I went for a super cheap Black Friday deal but I don’t even get signal at my house. I wish I’d payed more for O2 as I’ve always been on their network and never had a problem. Personally I would rather pay more. Internet was really good, but like I said, if there’s any problem, it’s a nightmare to sort out.
Was a customer for 12mths, stability was poor, worst was a 3-days outage which I was told VM could not investigate because there was an area fault which took priority. The miserable amount of compensation they give does not compensate a bad service or extra amount spent on mobile data. Now with Plusnet and in spite of slower speed, it has been significantly more stable.

Whenever they raise the price, which is very often, you have 30days to cancel.
They usually keep your original price if you ask to leave.

I'm sure that when I read the T&C's when my wife took out the BF deal for this package it stated they won't increase the price during the contract period (normally 12 months) if you have a bundle that includes TV.

In which case, the price of this deal wouldn't increase in the 12 month contract unless you made any changes to the package.
When they launch oneweb broadband things will be so different !
I'd expect gigabit speeds for this monthly outlay...
I just checked only Southampton, Manchester, Reading and surrounding areas are gigabit enabled

This deal is for new customers only. I tried getting it around Black Friday when they were offering it as my full house bundle was near the end of its contract. They wouldn’t get anywhere near it so ended up cancelling and switching to sky for a much lower price. All these companies are the same. They offer great deals for new customers but don’t care about losing their existing ones.

You can always cancel and take it under someone else's name in your household. I done it and put it under my wife's name. They called week before the cancellation and offered me the same deal.

i just called them asking why the price has changed and told them im not happy with that and that was enough for them to put it back i just told them the package i have is x amount and thats what i expect to pay for the term of my contract and not more when they feel like it
it wasnt hard and they did put it back to the original amount a few times
they even doubled my speed as a gift then tried to charge me for a larger package so i called them and said nah im not having that
they was normally quite good in response to my whinging though
Haven't read the whole thread but I tried to submit a deal for this as there is now 125 quid shopping voucher or 100 quid bill credit plus 200 quid Quidco but the mods knocked it back due to this deal being in existence. But the shopping vouucher/quidco transforms this deal from an also ran to a killer deal (potentially 65/mth taking into account the cashback and Quidco and including the set up fee. Unbeatable deal) But too late to save it now, I guess, and not many will see this post. An opportunity lost imo. Shame....
Who wants 40 Gb on Vodafone for just over £6 pounds a month ?!

Have to agree, especially with the 125 quid shopping voucher and 200 quid quidco the net cost could be as little as 65/mth. The unlimited sim alone costs 32 quid! And when they say 500mb bb they actually mean it!
My mother in law is just coming to the end of her £79 per month VIP bundle deal, rang them up to cancel as bill was due to go up to £139 per month.

The best they could offer for the same bundle was £93.50 per month (350 vivid, full TV + sports + movies, second TV box, anytime calls).

Probably not the cheapest deal but it it still a lot cheaper than she was paying Sky and BT before she switched last year.

You are imagining things as VM don't start piggy backing off Vodafone until late 2021!

What I got on the outskirts of Sheffield today (Graves Park to be precise).

They went through a load of offers on the phone but refused to budge any further on price, I asked about upgrading the package to the ultimate Oomph and got told no. In the end I thought my time was worth more than arguing anymore and accepted their offer.

I need to ring them in a couple of weeks to renew my own contract, currently got vivid 200 with basic TV paying £39 per month.

Cancel and reapply on a different name in your household. They will budge at the end, coz it'll be more expensive them to go down that route.
