I cannot see any price (free, or otherwise) listed on the official site:

[ compuclever.com/pro…te/ ]

However, yes, it is based on LibreOffice.
Only free for 6 days? Trial version then?

I think it means gratis for the next 6 days, then priced again.

My submitted title for this "Freebie" thread was...

"Ultra Office for Free: Word, Spreadsheet, Slide & PDF Compatible (saving £41.74) at Microsoft Store £FREE for 6 days"

The site's helpers had changed it to...

"CompuClever Ultra Office Temporarily Free at Microsoft Store"

It is now back as I submitted it.

PS. I have also removed some of the other amendments they made. (Sigh)

PPS. They just cannot leave it be!

Now reads: "Ultra Office for Free: Word, Spreadsheet, Slide & PDF Compatible (saving £41.74) at Microsoft Store FREE for 6 days"

Cheers I was unsure.
Will this work on MacBook
So is this free for 6 days then you get charged after the 6 days.

At present it is free to associate with a Microsoft account. You may download it today, tomorrow, up until 14 November 2019, or any date thereafter.

After the six days have elasped, if the item is already associated with your Microsoft account then it is still available to you (without any cost).

If you wait until the six days have passed before confirming your intention to own this product (& associate it with your existing Microsoft account), then the price may have changed, & you may then have to pay for it.

Summary: "Buy" it today to ensure it remains free to you after the six days have elapsed.

"Ultra Office" is an alternate product that can read/write Microsoft Office (365 / 2019) file formats.

From the "Online Tutorial" link I quoted above...

"Compatibility: Ultra Office is totally compatible with Microsoft Office."

I would check with your son first in case there are any specific MS-Office features (for example, support for "macros"/Visual Basic for Applications [VBA]) that are necessary requirements for him. I have not checked every feature available in MS-Office 2019 to ensure the 100% compatibility as stated.

The main difference at this time is that "Ultra Office" is free.
thanks pal ive just downloaded it and the wife seems to think its enough, cant moan for free at all lol
thanks very much op
Does this do anything that LibreOffice doesn't?

Is it just a plot too up the product in the rankings do other people pay for something that should be free anyway.

At least noone has claimed this is an adequate relevent for an office 365 subscription yet.

Did you mean "an adequate replacement..."?

No, nobody is claiming that.

Aw bless, have compassion, they're doing their best, I'm sure they know better than you!

If this is based on libre office I'd rather just get that.
Thanks
I would not touch anything Microsoft gives Free, their software illegally manipulate your PC, check, update and does changes no matter what you try. for example: try to stop windows update in windows 10, no matter what you do to stop it, in the end it update itself because microsoft wants to.. this way they can survey, plus do some changes on your computer and other softwares if they want.

these free softwares are Libreoffice based so you better use actual softwares like libre, openoffice etc and get more function out of them. do not be played by microsoft which maybe wants to dominate and kill the free software market and open source software companies for giving this free ..

Any way of getting this on Windows 7...? Yes, I'm old school - and before you ask, I'd much rather have Windows XP but 7 is the next best thing.
