This specific model takes a M.2 SATA SSD via a service hatch. And its bootable. So allow for an extra £20 (128GB) and some Windows10 jiggerypokery... to make this useful (PS. its a good bit of kit.) Source to be added...

It's one of these (search for m.dot2280 for reference to SSD)

For information the N4200 or N5000 (Pentium) models are better but N4000 should be usable with SSD.
There have been alot of these around on Ebay in the last couple of weeks, going like hot-cakes with the various 10%/20% codes.
There may be some open box/new ones left. This Ebay link may be of use ...

I second that. It rendered my last laptop to an expensive paper weight.

Yes - the N5000 quad-core was around £85-90 in small numbers. Fortunately I held off buying another laptop I don’t need! Anyway for that reason I’d say £125 is too expensive.
Laptop Outlet on Ebay have a few of these models available (10% off using Ebay code PREPARE10). To repeat, the best deals are the Pentiums I believe but have to read the Condition report as some come with heavy marks.

I'd say this is the best one, N4200 Pentium, nearly new, 12 month warranty ...(lots available for £117)

wifi unreliability with this laptop. wifi is Intel AC 3165. Problem is that it doesn't always turn on when coming out of sleep. Damn annoying. Trying newest Intel driver 26/8/2019 ....we'll see.
Don't know where these keep coming from (Curry's returns?) Anyway 7 N5000s available with "very slight marks" Grade B+ 12 month warranty for £85. Hot!
ebay.co.uk/itm…852

EDIT. And another batch of "open box/grade A" but possible N4200 rather than N5000. £90.

Only really useful with an m.2 SSD. If you can get one for £80+ £20 for the SSD these are a bargain IMHO. They seem pretty rugged (not tested for very long!) NB hinge doesn't go all the way back - may be a weak point with kids. Do they need windows 10?

Not fussed on the windows 10 pal. I have no idea about SSD's and such. lol. plan is to hand my lil one the laptop. and then pinch it off her now and then to download mp3's!
An Android or iPad may be better?
