I only paid about this price for one about 4 or 5 years ago.... never expected it to last this long, but it seems bulletproof.

Banned

cant find England,or uk ,to pay,

If you don't fancy cycling through multiple modes and a strobe every time then this gearbest one is a few pence cheaper and claims higher outputs (YMMV):
couponsfromchina.com/201…st/

EDIT: The higher output is likely only with a 14500 though, I'd expect an AA to be the same as this one.

Great torch much better than my two maglites and battery lasts longer. Shame its up to 45 days delivery or Id have another couple.

Probably fake.

The copies of the Sipik SK68 are a bit hit and miss. Some have much lighter construction with the battery compartment milled out so much the battery rattles inside it. That was the case with this version when I purchased it recently from a different seller. Still for £1.37 it's not bad.

Pretty rubbish torches in the grand scheme of things but for the price they're awesome!

Do you have a recommended place for buying Lithium batteries like the 14500 or 18650?

I looked myself but couldn't find any decent EU sources for single protected 18650s. It seems like they're only worthwhile if you have uses for multiple.

I prefer the Tolkein approach

One torch to rule them all, one torch to find them,
One torch to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

Thanks OP - worth a punt.

I saw a film on them, they barely glowed. They looked like old incandescent tech to me.

same here so not buying

Although it states powered by one AA battery you will not get a fantastic light from this, The unit is actually designed to run on a 3.7 volt AA battery ( 1 x 14500 ) Just be aware when ordering you will only get full brightness using a 3.7 volt rechargable AA battery. Most standard AA rechargable batteries only output around 1.2 volts and alkaline batteries 1.5 volts.

3.7 volt AA batteries are not too expensive but look also at the mA output of the battery as theses led torches do have a high current drain on the battery. You will also need a charger that will charge a 3.7 volt battery too.

Has anyone had a shipping confirmation? I bought some and had an order confirmation but no shipping details yet. Have asked for details from zapals support but no response. Sigh.....
