is this any good?

if they bought their driver one they would then only need one to deliver it then saving on wages.

Good Value, you'd need some space to use it though!

Not really, 50kg ain't a lot of weight. I got a York 1001 which has 63kg and for over half the excercises, there isn't enough weight for me. I think within 12 months you would have wished you had gone for one with more weight.

Would be ok for a beginner or someone who just wants to tone at home, not enough weight for anyone who has been training for a while, these cheap multi gyms are ok but the action on them is probably not as smooth as a more expensive one.

Your sentence doesn't make any sense.

er, I get it... the driver works out on his home gym=he can carry more weight=they need less staff to deliver=lower wages bill and increased productivity.
They could employ Alonso too, he's a fast driver and will soon be unemployed...

Thanks, I understand now.

caverncity, punctuation is your friend.:)

Getting drivers to deliver by themselves is a false economy.
When the driver claims they've put their back-out, the compensation claimed will be significantly more than the minimum wage the extra employee.

Apart from needing divine intervention to put the thing together (it'll probably take a couple of days), it's a worthwhile buy.

It caters for all the important exercises and believe me when I say that you wont be able to lift even half of the weight plates, not if you have the weight cables attached correctly.

Saturday morning at 8.56am, my friend punctuation was unfortunately still in bed.

A heck of a lot for the money. Wish I wasn't moving soon.
I see they also do a chocolate fountain for £22.00.

50Kg is seriously nothing, I was doing Shoulder Presses heavier than this, heck I do Tricep Pushdowns heavier than this...

Is it possible to buy and add extra weights to this then ?

I'm telling you now, if you put the thing together as per instructions, an elephant wouldn't be able to lift half the weight slabs.

Do NOT worry about there not being enough weights.

EDIT: And anyone who says they can lift more than half using that exact model is either lying...or owns a heard of elephants.

As per the 50kg weights, I have been to several gyms and during the inductions they recommeded higher number of reps, with lower weight loads. I believe it causes less wear to joints. Many years ago the gymn I went to had you doing 12 reps of high load, now they seem to go for 3 sets of 12-15 reps with lighter load?
Regards

50kg is just not enough sorry if your an avid gym go'er you would know 50kg is easily liftable for high reps for some people even useable for burnouts!

They haven't used this model then ;-)

I hate repeating myself but follow the instructions and that 50kg becomes 500 tonnes. It's probably something to do with the cables and the tension settings...either way, not even an avid gym user with muscles would be able to lift half.

my friend has a york 2001 at home ,i can:p do the full stack on a tricep pushdown till i get bored ,anyone who knows anything about lifting weight will know this is for keeping toned ,not building weight ,you have to make yr mind up where you fit ,before you buy ,...not for me sorry to say i must be an elephant!!

Ah, but this isn't a York 2001. As I said, you'd have to try this model to really appreciate what I'm talking about.

Anyone that knew anything about weight lifting would know there is no such thing as 'toned'...:whistling:

And with machines you can generally knock off about 30% of the weight you think you're lifting. I'd like to see all those people who think they're doing all those exercises with the full 50kg do them with a barbell with 50 on it.

So. Did anyne order one of these?

Did it turn up?

Was it any good?
